"Issues" besides the fact it's a GD cluttered mess now? Nope.

No cluttered mess here. Hardly any different really. If You don't like the new features, don't use them, they don't get in the way if you're not using them.

On a beta that's been out all of 90 minutes?

there have been a few beta's so far, i don't expect battery life to be awesome at this point but I hope it will improve as time goes on.

I hope it's a bit more stable then the second one cause I've been having headaches with pb 2

it seems to be for me, much better then the last one. Still kinks to work out but thats expected.

Has anyone noticed the quick reply to messages not working. It worked this morning and now is freezing up. It does this on the lock screen and quick reply. 6s +, Public Beta 10.3

10 PB3 seems to have an odd issue with iMessage
the 'Apps' button brings up sections, however the 'Images' one says 'Fail' all the time
you can search for things (it's useless, search for something, e.g. Womble and you'll see)
When you come out of it and go back in .. again it says Fail

Obviously its either broken or missing something on Apples end

Yeah it didn't do this on PB2. Kinda bummed. I don't want to go back to 9.3.3 but it's really annoying.

Yup, it's a big bug as PB2 didn't do it
Worse yet, you can't even report it currently, obviously Apple's overloaded with people reporting bugs

The Apps button in messages lets you re-organise things, however the icons continue to shake until you press the home button ... taking you out of messages :)

In a new empty message? Sure
Compare that to an ongoing conversation. From the massive pointless banner on the top (do I need to see a contact photo or a flippin' initial like that to know who I am talking to? No. Can I just "not use it" or "turn it off" like you suggest? No.) to the tiny Send button which doesn't even say Send anymore, to all the garbage going on where there used to be a simple camera icon for taking or inserting photos, 2/3's of the screen is now taken up by everything but my actual conversation. It's even worse if you leave predictive text on which clearly I don't, because I know how to spell my own words thank you Apple. This is a Texting app, not Snapchat. Adults use this thing to communicate with other adults. If you're going to include a bunch of junk to appeal to the tweens in the crowd, at the very least give us the option to turn it the bloody hell off.

No update has popped for me yet either :/ kinda strange. I've restarted my phone and still nothing. Any ideas?

Edit: I reinstalled the beta profile and it worked for me

Couple of things I've noticed with this beta, the people section of photos has been reset which tags faces, and has started to analyse each photo again from zero. I had put a lot of time into this merging people.

Also, I'm unsure if this has been a feature/bug for a while but you can turn your phone off after plugging it into charge and the device won't turn back on. So you can charge your device without it needing to be turned on, good for overnight charging I guess.

works for me
Yeah it's weird cuz it worked fine and now not at all. I've restarted and it worked once then back to it. I've messaged apple support. Hoping they have an idea. I just don't really want to go back to 9.3.3

The Photos issue is in the Release Notes. (Hint: go here beta.applebetas.tk) This is "The Bad Thing" about running beta builds, you can't *rely* on them. Just can't. The trade-off is SUPPOSED to be better testing, and ergo better final builds… bank your frustration now to hold Apple to that after GM. Then file bugs! File! File! File! (with a bit of angst!)

As for the power "feature", I am able to power off both my iPhone 5s (8.4) and iPad mini 2 (9.3.3) while plugged into power, and they will continue to charge and remain off. This has been a "feature" for quite a long time, as I remember filing a regression bug against SOME iOS version with my iPhone 3GS (back maybe with iOS 4 or 5) where Alarms stopped powering on an iPhone to sound an alarm. (Yup, it will DO that! Apple fixed it, still works today.) What I'd be interested in is if they changed things such that turning off an iPhone starts a timer of sorts whereby if you plug into power before the timer expires it will not automatically power back on. Case being: I turn off my phone in the living room as I'm preparing to go to bed, walk into dark bedroom where S.O. is asleep and plug into power… and iPhone does NOT fire up its LCD in full brightness mode and light up the room.
So either plugged in or not, turn off, plug into power within some duration of time, no automatic power on.

Tempted to load this onto my iPad. Any reason I shouldn't? I usually install betas most years but have held out this time because I've been too busy to mess around with potential issues.
It's good. Haven't had many real problems just the occasional slow down or app crash. Nothing serious. Better than iOS 9 betas for sure.

People photo album has been reset for me in both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6S. It started analysing from zero all photos for faces/people!! I spent a lot of time organising people, merging and confirming additional photos and now its all lost T_T

This was in the release notes. I had spent too much time as well.

Here's the big question... Can you type on macrumors forums without it going to the bottom of the page every time you hit delete?

1 or 2 app crashes (all reported) no major issues running very smooth actually but the battery drain seems worse than ever. Hopefully sorted when launched in September.

I know a lot of apps were crashing early on. Any word on whether most things work? I know that's a loaded question. Just wondering if people are still noticing compatibility issues with many big third party apps.

I'm thinking of giving this a go but not if in stuck with mostly first party support.
