Has Waze updated its app to allow it to work on carplay yet? I am tempted to switch over to iOS 12 beta, but this is really the only feature I'm looking forward to.

I'm on their Beta program and they haven't send any car play related updates. I'm pretty sure they will use TestFkight to test it first before sending it out to the masses so unless you're signed up to their Beta program I don't think you'll be able to use it until September when iOS 12 is official. I could be wrong...

As I understand it, App Developers won't be allowed to submit applications compiled for iOS 12 until closer to the time of public launch. I'd imagine Waze has a build working by this point, but unless they manage to do their own public beta, this won't be on the App Store til the fall.

Correct. However, Apple is already allowing apps to be submitted with the new APIs for iOS12 so we're waiting on Waze now. Just to clarify I believe that developers can only submit iOS12-ready apps through Beta programs using TestFlight. The official versions will only be available after the public iOS launch sometime in the Fall

Downloading now. iOS 12 Public Beta 2 has been extremely stable on my iPhone 7 Plus. I have to hand it to Apple. A much better release thus far. Haven’t downloaded yet on my iPP but curious to see how the new gestures work out. Looking forward to upgrading to this years iPhone X 5.8 successor.

Oh wow, Dark mode for safari in iOS 12? Does it actually work? Can’t wait.

Improved maps has been a long time coming, glad it’s a priority in the next iOS.
iOS 12 will not be getting a dark mode feature that I’m aware of. I hear that is coming in iOS 13 when the newly redesigned iOS comes out.

I have encountered two problems:
1 when enabling Bluetooth I see no status icon in the upper menu.
2 the password option is not responsive, sometimes not working in safari.
Both send by feedback.

This beta is seems to be working great so far on an iPad Mini 4 Cellular and an iPhone X after a few hours of testing. The one issue I'm seeing is that "System storage" is taking up 5.2 gb on my iPhone X but only 1.2 gb on the iPad. I run roughly the exact same set of applications and very similar space usage profiles on each device. Any ideas why the storage on the iPhone X is through the roof?

Does anyone know if iOS 12 fixes the occasional bug where the screen is unresponsive when receiving a call (i.e., I can't answer the call). I have an iPhone X and have had this problem occur maybe a handful of times over the last 6-7 months.

I did the OTA update from the previous ios12 beta... it is still on the apple screen with the bar under... 70 minutes and counting.

Not sure what is going on but something is using up the storage on my iPhone.

Hm... My iPhone X is still updating going on for over an hour now. The progress bar is at the very end. I seems to have moved slightly in the last 20 minutes so I'm not ready to say that it's stuck. Anybody seeing this?

EDIT: Found one...

I'm in no rush, I can still take calls and messages on my Apple Watch but I am getting slightly worried now. Well over an hour now...

+1h here too, iPhone X.
This is even slower than an Apple Watch update. Is something wrong?

Same here. I've been on all the public betas on my iPhone X. The latest public beta downloaded and the install started. After the phone rebooted, the progress bar got to the right hand side, and stayed there. For 20 mins. This isn't normal.

A vol + / vol - / hold power button reboot was needed, which started the update process again.

The update has completed successfully now.

Note to self: remember to reboot the phone before doing a major SW update.

Same here... has been stuck at the end of the bar for at least an hour for me too!

Did either of yours eventually finish?

I'm tempted to join the public beta program, give iOS 12 a whirl, and give feedback, but the several posts mentioning 1 hour plus install times of this PB are giving me pause. Granted, at least an iPhone can be restored by me if something goes wrong during the update (unlike the Watch); but having to restore back to 11.4.1 and download everything from iCloud again is not how I'd like to spend a few hours of my day today.
