Was there any sort of video card update? I thought the 4850 was BTO on the last gen iMac. As far as Bootcamp gaming is concerned, these are no different from the last generation -- they will be completely GPU limited :\

Agreed. I don't understand how they couldn't have gone with a 5xxx series card. A 5870 in the 27" would have made this an instant buy.

Have fun playing any games whatsoever at that resolution with a 4850.

These new iMacs are an improvement on value for dollar over the previous models. The screen (LED + IPS), along with the sizes and CPU options on the higher end are really good buys IMHO.

They have to save something for the update ;) I think we may see a 5850 down the road though :D

Did you guys hear that the imac are using IPS panels? SAME PANEL IN THE ACD! Wow, im not going to be able to sleep

The high-end iMacs have used IPS panels since at least the Intel switch. Apple just realized that was a selling point today though.

IPS Screen + Wireless Keyboard & Mouse

Wow. Now comes with great colortastic screen in the smallest size, 4GB memory and Wireless keyboard and mouse. That's great! Best value ever for a desktop Mac.

Intel Quad-Core Nehalem i7 is available as an option. 1 TB HD comes standard, with 2 TB option. Magic Mouse is sheer brilliance, and 2560 x 1440 resolution is phenomenal - November can't get here soon enough!

Laptop on a stick? I do not think so.

what ??? no more 24" ??

21.5 may be too small

and 27 definitely tooooooo big

seems like having a LCD TV on the desk !!!

damn nvidia 9400 ! still here

and they kept the core 2 duo :(

8 GB in option, is it useful to upgrade memory from 4 to 8 ?

Radeon HD 4670: good gc ??

Amazing

These look amazing, already ordered the 27-inch one with the I7 I am really happy I waited :)

I think this is a big mistake. For me, 24" is perfect, now they've made it extremely difficult with such a huge gap between 21.5 and 27 inch options. Neither of which are suitable for me.
I do however, like the new options for the Mac Mini.
