I noticed a good improvement from 1.0.1 to 2 GM. Hoping for even better or at least the same. In a day, I saw 10-20% better battery.

OK all this talk about issues wuth the download
Can we here from someone who have succesfully downloaded this update

No!!!!!! Clicked out after phone being on verify for 1 hour. Now says you software is up to date!! Still on 1.0
Going from GM to 2.0 didn't take long but the install twice rebooted with the apple logo with the ring doing the install before finishing. Still didn't take too long but it was a smaller upgrade.

worked great for me and then my software updates had 6 new updates for os2 including dark sky with complication. Taking forever to install on the watch though but I have four trying to install to a new version on the watch.

The 'installation' part took 31 minutes to complete and the watch app window closed on phone. Then another 5 mins of the watch itself doing some stuff. Finally on Watch OS 2. :)

Good god there's people on Twitter complaining because the Watch needs to be on its charger in order to update. Seriously you can't wait until you get home to update? Sheesh.

Im cool with waiting a few hours, but does anyone smarter than me know why it has to be on the charger?

Is that with using native apps during the day or apps that are relying for iPhone processing ?

So the people having issues are mosly the Betas and GMs???

If it seemed I implied that I didn't mean to. I am not aware of anything like that. I was just explaining my situation since it seemed to me a lot of people on these forums were running betas or the GM.

Loving watchOS 2 so far! Multicolor Modular watchface is brilliant! Weather has a nice effect now while opening and opens pretty fast! Timelapse watchface is quite nice too. But let's see how will battery be... Very curious about it.

Already got a Activation Lock warning too, and Activity report shows the option to shut it off for the day now. Some nice touches. I'll see more about this tomorrow.

FYI, mine was stuck on "verifying" for over 30 minutes, even after a retry.... then I powered off the watch and restarted it... this time the "verifying" step only took a minute or two, now it's on to "installing".
I was stuck on verifying for over 30 mins. Tried this and the install started almost immediately.

So far from reading from this thread ... people who finally got watchOS 2.0 installed are getting native 3rd party apps crashing all the time .... is this an OS thing or is this an app compilation bug ? .... I really hope this is not an OS thing and that apps are going to crash all over the place ... coz this is going to be a PR nightmare for Apple especially after they pulled the app from release to squash a critical bug ...

Just waiting for the battery to get from 38% to 50%
Make sure you charge it while you wait people!
