If you have any Beta profiles, you have to delete just the profiles, on your Apple Watch. Once I did that, I was able to download OS2 for the watch. Then restart both, after deleting Profile(s), and it should work. Even if you erase a profile, the BETA,will still stay on your device(s)
Thank you so much ttNB! That did the trick! I didn't realize there was a profile pushed to my watch. Appreciate the help.

I have gotten to the "verifying" step three times - the gear in the systems icon stops ... And have to go back to the starting point again

Anyone else seeing the same behavior?

is anyone else getting the error, "Unable to check for Update" - "Checking for a software update failed because you are not connected to the internet" I assure I am connecting to the internet hah

I had that twice ... But shut down other apps running in the background ... Then restarted the iPhone and that cleared the error

I haven't read up much on what 'native apps' actually means to the end user. I *assumed* that it meant that more of the app could run on the watch itself (rather than just the UI rendering), which I would think would dramatically improve performance.

Is that the case? If so, do apps still need to be updated to take advantage of it? In the short time I've had 2.0 installed I still run into the same sluggishness issues.

For example, I'll pull up the Dark Sky glance. It sits there spinning/refreshing until the display eventually turns off. In fact, most glances are like that.

Yes. I'm seeing this seemingly "infinite loop" myself.

(You're welcome.)

I came here to see if other people are experiencing the same thing and/or to learn if I'm doing something wrong.

Same here. Getting to "Verifying" then it just clears all the way back to the start and I have to download again....

Seriously?! 1 whole friggen day?!

(FYI my download speed is supposedly 200 Mbps but it averages 130-140. I've seen their servers hit hard before but this is probably something else.)

Mine finally finished I thought then it got stuck in verifying mode. I am giving up for the night I will try again tomorrow

Does anyone know why my Mail in OS2 doesn't work? At least for me. Upgrade took about two hours, but now no mail. I get a message that says "waiting for messages to be transfered..." (why wouldn't they say "waiting for mail..." since it is a Mail app issue?)

Continuing pet peave... Messages do not sync across devices. I have to separately delete Messages from my 5 devices. Ridiculous. No fun deleting a bunch of Messages from A Watch!

Also stuck in the "Verifying" loop for hours. Let's see if anything takes overnight. I feel like Apple has been losing their focus on the customer experience. They've launched how many products and software updates? This should be a walk in the park for them.

What happened to the feature where you could play music out the Apple Watch speaker in os2?

How did you get it to change from the raindrop

Dark Sky?

Yeah that's unfortunately what I was noting, it's just a raindrop icon - no change :/

Later it did surprise me - changed to a temperature but apples temp reading was more accurate.

I would like it to change - Show maybe a graphical precipitation warning. Idk how, that would be what the company could design.

I would be absolutely thrilled now to see an article that compiles some of the better, genuine complications new to the watch. (Not merely icons or info that repeats apples existing info).

Swiss watches are nice in how they pack info on a face, Apple can do much more, and I am just waiting now to see it happen :p

I am not seeing any performance improvement with apps. I have tried a number of apps, not a single one doesn't have a long loading screen.

True story. Def a hair faster maybe 20-30%

Much faster watchOS bcuz not using iPhone now

(separately I read iPhone 6s is wicked fast)

We took into careful consideration, the amount of time it took for the update to download, so our customers can fully appreciate their Apple Watch, and know what it is like to be without it. This sense of separation from something you hold so dear to your heart truly enhances ones ability to appreciate the very existence of that object. We worked very hard to calculate the exact time it took for a human being to feel separated from the Apple Watch and that's the reason why we unapologetically delayed the update. We have reduced the margin of error to plus or minus 50 milliseconds, to deliver the most memorable experience our customers can feel from updating their software.

Post of the year!
