Yikes... 5 hour estimated download time... Doesn't look like the bar has moved in the past 20 minutes either..

i know this just came out but im curious what version will follow after 2.0

we have iOS 9.1 and OS X 10.11.1 already in the works.

watchOS 2.0.1 or 2.1?

Unfortuantely for me, I do not have my charger but have 80%. i was aple to download in 12 minutes, started preparing, then got a "PAUSE" message stating that it needs to be connected to the charger. Fingers crossed that I will not have any problems when I get home in 4 hours.

I won't be home for about 6 hours. Hopefully the download now, install later process does work.

So am I right in thinking that now the watch can access WIFI when the phone isn't in range to make calls and update apps?

Yes update notes this:

"Support for running apps without iPhone in proximity, including access to networking capabilities when connected to known WIFI networks."

I believe the iPhone is needed to discover a network, and then the watch will remember that as a preferred network for future iPhone-less access.

I will test this once software is updated.

Been downloading for about half an hour. The bar hasn't moved and it says 7 hours remaining. Joy.

I'm in the UK 9.1 Public beta and showing my watchOS 1.0.1 - your software is up to date. I've restarted my phone numerous times and been trying for an hour. Was wondering if the 9.1 beta was the issue but appears people have been successful elsewhere. I'm so tempted to try and install iOS 9 if this doesn't resolve soon. Any suggestions greatly welcomed
As a previous poster indicated Go into the iPhone watch app to General/Profiles and delete the iOS 9 beta profile and then restart both the watch and phone. Update 2.0 will start after the Phone and Watch are paired. You will have to enter the Watch password to start - I do not have the Watch Os Beta and the d/l is 512Mb and is creeping along at 2 hours.

UGH! have to wait til I get home..... no wifi at work.... POO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This made me laugh so much.

I am not laughing at your predicament, that would be mean, just the eloquence of your anger! :p

(if it helps ease the pain my says 4 hours remaining).

Updated. Pcalc lite and latest data man crash on Apple Watch.

Edit. Dataman started working. Pcalc lite still crashes but maybe needs update since was crashing before.

Watch OS launch day: Oh no I forgot to bring my cable to work!

Watch OS gets delayed.

Next day: Cable packed!

Weekend: Travel, put cable into another bag.

Today: No cable again. I had two chances and I blew it! Now I have to wait a few more hours in the Watch OS 1 dark-ages like some kind of amish luddite peasant. Geeeeezzz.
