Apple Releases watchOS 3.1.1 With Bug Fixes, Performance Improvements and New Emoji

Anyone else's watch not pinging their phone? Also, anyone else seeing this after their watch updates?

That was one of the dialogs I saw during the process. Perhaps the Watch app in 10.2 has some connection issues.

I plowed ahead anyway and got lucky my update was successful.

Another thing I noticed is that progress meter would oscillate back and forth, instead of only displaying forward progress. Hadn't seen that before, but this is only the third update I've ever done.

My Series 0 updated without any issues.
It takes now long to boot up, at least for my taste. Hope they will fix that.

Watchgate! Welcome to the red circle of death! My watch is bricked from this update, I will have to post it in to Apple. No genius bar appointments available either at my local store, for the foreseeable future. They will have to open it up to re-install the software, which requires shipping it off to a secret location. Sooo disappointed!

Just wondering... are they replacing with refurbished or returned watches? OR are they brand new retail watches?

Hm. My series 0 is still on 3.1 and this shows up as an update on my Apple Watch app..but fails at 'verifying'.

Thoughts?

It was pulled weeks ago and AFAIK hasn't been re-released.
