As I stated before wOS is a part of iOS. For instance certain features are controlled on and by iOS so the iOS MUST be the same as the wOS to work together. For instance iOS has a completely new file system now (APFS). Do you expect Apple to write the new wOS to be backwards compatible with the last file system too?

Since my iPhone is not on iOS 10.3, yes I do expect it to work. My phone is on iOS 10.2, in all the release notes I've found, it only says your phone needs to be on iOS 10, doesn't say anything about having to be on iOS 10.3, that I can find.

This also does not explain why I keep getting pop ups saying my watch isn't paired to the phone.

Erm, the software update function of the Watch app says I have watchOS 3.1.3 and that my software is up to date. Weird.

16-hour day in Tokyo today, 15000 steps, two dozen notifications, checked time and forecast twice an hour on average, plus several heart rate checks.

72% battery remains on the device as it goes on the charger. Amazing battery life got even better after the update.

Yup, I'm bricked. Grrr. I had an epic workout today, and now I didn't get credit for it.

Wife's 38mm gen 1 watch has had battery drain issues since updating. My 42mm gen1 hasn't had any battery life issues. I did a hard reset on her watch but the problem persists.

I checked through the thread, but I haven't seen any other reports of battery drain after the latest wOS update. Has anyone here had, or heard of people having battery life issue after the latest update?

Has anyone noticed Apple Pay takes much longer to activate now? Had few occasions where I've had to wave my watch in front of the card reader for longer than I anticipated. Trying to look flashy and ending up looking like a muppet

I have had my 42mm Series 0 require power reserve mode at the end of the day several times now, which I never had happen with watchOS 3.1
