MUCH better than 4. the control center/notification apears much less laggy, as does the app view. everything feels snappier

You could be dead in two years. Even if yo aren’t you are missing out in a bunch of utility if you wait. Three of us bought S0 when first available and have been increasingly happy with each software upgrade. We now bought S3 LTE replacements but will keep old watches for nighttime monitoring.

We are wearing our S3 during day and S0 to bed. Given S0 is probably only worth 100$ now, it’s not worth selling.
[doublepost=1509476719][/doublepost]SSID is not displayed next to WIFI symbol on my S0 watch.

I didn't see it either on my Series 3 w/LTE until I put my iPhone in Airplane Mode. Now it shows up as connected to wifi-only and the SSID is listed. Does that make it work for you, perhaps?

I would love to know what fitness equipment that supports GymKit. Do they have any details?

These brands will work with GymKit but the ones in your gym have to be the new GymKit models.

LifeFitness released a statement outlining which models (updated firmware) will work with GymKit:

Life Fitness treadmills and bikes with Discover SE3 HD screens will be updated to work with GymKit.

If your gym equipment has an NFC symbol, it might work if your equipment manufacturer releases updated firmware.

Odd, it told me I needed to put it in the charger despite having >90%.

You can download the watchOS update while the watch is still on your wrist (your phone downloads the update). You can even leave the watch on your wrist while the update is "preparing" (I assume it's being transferred to the watch at that point). However, when the update is ready to be installed, it prompts you to place the watch on the charger regardless of how full the watch's battery is.

You have to turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone since Airplane mode no longer turns it off. Once I severed the connection between my iPhone and my Watch, it connected to WiFi and displayed my SSID:

Just tested it out - over LTE it worked extremely fast for both radio app and playing things from Apple Music/iTunes in the Cloud. I do wish it presented those custom playlists it recommended on the iPhone on the watch, so far it looks like it just shows you your entire library with the ability to use Siri to play things outside of what you’ve put in your library.

The Radio app does have the Chill mix, but that seems to be it. I also noticed when I put my iPhone in Airplane mode that it jumped to LTE rather than WiFi which it would normally do on the old OS, not sure why WiFi wasn’t being used.

Yeah if someone is going to be DEAD in two years, the last priority in life would be to get a smart watch I think lol....

I just got back from a 25-min walk with just Apple Watch (LTE) and OS 4.1 [iPhone stayed in the office], streaming a Radio channel. I intentionally killed Wi-Fi from Control Center, too. Looks like it chewed through about 3-4% of battery on that walk. I was doing it as an Outdoor Walk workout, too

But will it auto pause ?

Neither music nor radio app are streaming for me. I’m on AT&T with cellular turned on.

Can anyone who didn't run the beta check what build your 4.1 is. I was running the beta and mine is showing version 15R846 with no updates available.

Thanks

If you are an Apple Watch user, it makes a lot of sense to be a member. Despite all of the many weaknesses of AM, particularly if you get stuck in the insanity of iCloud Match, it works tolerably well.
Yeah, I used the free trial a while back, and it kept asking me to "merge" my iTunes and Apple Music libraries. No way am I risking getting into that. They need to make it more obvious how it works; I'm not gonna read a manual.

I just used it for streaming particular songs I liked and listening to their stations. They have a great selection of music, even the more obscure genres I listen to like Arabic.

The WiFi chip in the older model Apple Watches are much less power efficient and much slower - this would create a bad experience and makes sense for it to be omitted from the Series 2 for that reason. The WiFi chip in the Series 3 is dramatically better than the Series 2.

Could have been allowed to continue using it as a remote for the iPhone, can still be done using Siri on the Watch but not allowed via the UI

Does anyone know how to show album art?
I was sure I'd seen videos around that showed the album art in some betas of WatchOS 4.1

Yeah there is. You could become one. I'm once again considering it.

no LTE model in my country so I can’t stream music on the AW. But even if I had an LTE model I’m not sure I’d subscribe, I prefer podcasts.

Hello,

My series 0 watch is still showing 4.0 as up to date. Any recommendations as to how to make it recognize the update? I understand I dont have the LTE functions but shouldn’t I still get the bug fixes?

Note.. iPhone is running 11.1

Thx

I can't stand for that.

More like relieved if you're a series 0 or 1 owner and who's been dealing with the charging bug. They say it's fixed.
What charging bug?? I have a series 1 and no problem charging...
But lately my watch will go into airplane mode and it won’t stay “off” until I reboot the watch. Extremely annoying. Is this related to charging?

Can you control your all music again like previously, before 4.0?

It appears the answer is yes, you can. I am able to see my playlists and play to my Airpods.

On another note, freaking A Apple - these updates take WAY too long. What the heck is going on to take so damn long?

I’ve been told elsewhere that you cannot. Can you access any song/album via the music app now like previous to 4.0?
