...and date not updating at midnight on infograph.

Well Watch has been updated, however the date, weather is still not updating. Sometime if you change faces works but at this point you have to simply restart watch.

I may even try the erase/restore with 5.0.1 an see if that helps if not guess well wait to watch OS 5.0.2 or 5.1

I have to zoom in and out on my S3 running 5.0. It got stuck in zoom with multi touch failed. OS functioning otherwise. It took a very long time to reboot. Working again.

Never had this happen with 4.x.

Hey guys, have you found a way to mute incoming walkie talkie messages? I don't mind the haptic tap, but I had to turn it off so I don't get pinged in an area where silence is more polite.

So, being new to the Apple Watch for the last two days, we have no way of downgrading to 5.0? Is that correct? My battery is much worse today already since I upgraded last evening.

This is from the Apple website. Sounds like you have to be either available to receive them or unavailable, because it says that silent mode still allows you to hear chimes or your friend's voice. It would be nice to have to an option to choose WHEN to hear the message, however.

Apple today released a new software update for the Apple Watch, upgrading watchOS 5 to watchOS 5.0.1. The new watchOS 5.0.1 release comes 10 days after Apple released the watchOS 5 update.

watchOS 5.0.1 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General -> Software Update.

To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the iPhone.

The watchOS 5.0.1 update is minor in scale and focuses on fixing bugs that have been discovered since the watchOS 5 update. According to Apple's release notes, watchOS 5.0.1 addresses an issue that caused a "small number of users" to see increased exercise minutes, fixes a bug that caused some users not to receive stand credit in the afternoon, and solves a problem that could prevent the Apple Watch from charging.

watchOS 5, the latest major watchOS update, brought a slew of new features to the operating system. It includes Activity Competitions for challenging friends, a Walkie-Talkie mode with real-time push-to-talk communication, support for Siri shortcuts, new watch faces, and tons more.

Yeah it's pretty wild that I can't even stop the chirp. Right now I've turned it off completely.

I hope that one day, Apple does away with "Make sure Apple Watch is on it's charger".

I hope one day Apple does away with:

“Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS + Cellular) requires an iPhone 6 or later with iOS 12 or later. Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS) requires an iPhone 5s or later with iOS 12 or later. Apple Watch and iPhone service provider must be the same. Cellular is not available with all service providers. Not all service providers support enterprise accounts. Check with your employer and service provider. Some legacy plans may not be compatible. Prepaid plans are not supported. Coverage dependent on carrier network. Roaming is not available outside your carrier network coverage area. Wireless service plan required for cellular service. Contact your service provider for more details.”

It’s got the hardware to be a standalone device, but not the business leadership?
Who knows how many watches they’d sell if it weren’t for this. If they had taken this “phone accessory” stance with the iPad it would have crippled sales too.

Wish I could join you in that but my carrier doesn’t support the watch yet.

You and I both. The sad part here in Canada is the big 3 networks each of at least 1 subsidy network they’ve either created internally from scratch or have long purchased and fully integrated from the base station & towers to the billing system ... yet the subs networks are not supporting LTE AW models.

The Walkie-Talkie app seems to have disappeared from my Series 2 Apple Watch after I installed 5.0.1 guess I’ll have to check the Apple forums and see if anyone knows how to bring it back.

So my watch rings while it’s on the charger? WTH Apple fix this! My first gen Apple Watch would silence all notifications and calls while on the charger. Why is my watch raining while charging? Even worse woke me up in the middle of the night with a flash flood emergency warning!!!

Try deleting FaceTime on your phone, reinstalling it, then rebooting your watch. The same issue happened to me - I didn’t have the app on my watch after updating to watchOS 5.

Maybe it is because I have OS11 on my iPhone, but I don’t see the update for my series 3 watch yet.

But this is the first bug that I found. It isn’t very major or changes the functionality. If you take a bike ride over ten hours, it loses the last digit in the elapsed time.

I thought WatchOS 5 required iOS 12. I guess not?
