You need to be clear on what you have: the original Apple Watch didn't have a series number, just names ("Apple Watch", "Apple Watch Sport", "Apple Watch Edition"). When Apple came out with the second generation, they called them "Series 1" and "Series 2". Because of this, many have taken to calling the original ones "Series 0", though this is not official Apple nomenclature.

If you have a Series 1, it's second generation (newer SoC than the Series 0), and watchOS 6 was announced for this back in September. The Series 0 stopped getting updated after watchOS 4. If you can get watchOS 6.1 onto a Series 0, I'll be very surprised.

You're dead right it's a Series O.

After 12 hours, I recognise no improvement of battery drain at my watch 4. I still have 40% in the morning with airplane mode over night. With watchOS 5, I had over 50% at the morning and enough at the evening so I could reach the 2 days. It's dissapointing.

Hurray I can once again see the current song playing as a complication like I could when I first got my series 2! “Progress”

Maybe it’s just old🤷🏿‍♂️

Finally got my watch to accept the update, but wish I didn’t. Bricked my watch. Getting this and my phone is open. Any ideas??

Running great on my series 5 and battery life seems better (used to drain around 5% per hour, now about 2-3%). Can’t seem to download it on my series 2 watch though. Download page just keeps spinning and spinning and nothing happens.

Apple Watch Series 2 with watchOS 6.1 drains battery. With watchOS 5.x battery last 24 or 25 hours. Now with update the battery last 5 or 6 hours. Someone else?

By "recently played" on the watch, do you mean you select the podcast feed and it shows the latest episode as played, or is there an actual "recently played" section somewhere?

By "recently played" I meant on the iPhone. So if I started listening to an episode (regardless of on the watch or on the iPhone), when I pause, exit the app, do something else, and come back later, it's gone from the main "Listen Now" view. What I ended up noticing is there is a "Recently Played" section at the bottom of the iPhone Listen Now view. That's where they all are (half played, waiting to be resumed). This is definitely not as expected and as a result, the episode "disappears" from immediate view on the Watch but when you trace all the way to that particular episode, you'll be able to resume from where you last played.
