Maybe the pilot will tell the story of:
“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”.

There’s a lot of other “stories” he told. This show could run longer than The Simpsons.

While I didn’t like ACA (it was a big gimme to health insurers) The doctor I liked is still my doctor today.

Oh great.. Another thread that has turned into someone has a different philosophy than me so he is a traitor to this country and that philosophy is a disease that needs to be wiped out! Only my philosophy is the right one and everyone needs to conform!

I seriously hope most of that crap is people trolling. I don’t care if you liked Obama or agreed with his policies, but I find the above attitudes to be appalling.
Agreed, I don't get it either. People have access to more media then ever so I guess they feel the need to get on here and bash everyone else who doesn't like what they like. Its really sad to see.

Who would want to watch that? Entertainment should be entertaining. If you want politics there is plenty of that content already.

I don’t really like Obama or his politics. I don’t want to give money to a company that promotes them. I can’t understand why Netflix or Apple would want to have such a show.

Americans.

They elected a president that is clearly entertaining. They also clearly don't care about actual policies if they elected a guy like Trump. So why wouldnt Obama be watched by them?

Nothing triggers Obama voters more than an extra $1000 in the working classes bank account every year. They’d much rather that go to “infrastructure”.
If that is really your thinking then you have no idea of what you are talking about lol

Not all content is about 'fun' entertainment...

Obama was a good president, but a company like Apple should not further alienate its customers in the current horrible political climate in the US. Bad business move.

They ought to make a show on the Constitution so they can remind Obama what he was supposed to "Preserve, Protect and Defend" and not wipe his a** with.

You can say that about every president since George Washington. Even some who signed the Constitution violated it when it served their purpose.

My God! The salt and tears on this thread have reached unsafe levels!

They should what, be afraid? Isn’t that exactly what partisans want? Us tearing each other apart while they fleece the country?

This country needs more dialogue. They should not just do one for Obama. I would love an in depth series on all the presidents... good, bad and ugly.

He’s probably the most admired man in America. If given the opportunity, Apple would be crazy not to do business with him. The general tenor of negative comments in this thread is laughably out of touch with the opinions of the majority of Americans.

yes a good president, if you like someone who hates the USA and set race relations back 50 years and whose only goal was to be accepted by celebs, then yes he was great

What a flamefest about a TV-Show that not only hasn't started production and will come with still unknown content.

Some people really are in need for a safe place.

I'd suggest a 3 day "Walker, Texas Ranger" marathon

I find the general tone of these comments quite interesting. At a time when a significant majority of the general public has very favorable views of Obama and generally dislikes his successor, most people here seem to dislike him. Personally, I would do just about anything for a return of the competency we had in the Obama White House, as compared to the dumpster fire in there now.

Generally speaking, poorly educated white voters are his base and fierce defenders/excusers of every single thing he does. That is borne out in every poll. If you have a different opinion, you're either a snowflake or SJW to that group.

Apple’s customer base is generally more affluent and more concentrated in blue states, with more disposable income and more liberal leanings. I don’t see people who got laid off from Carrier looking to buy an iPhone X. Frankly people who hate Obama need to get over it and accept that half the country chose him, twice. It seems all these people want is a civil war because they can’t stand that McCain (who they loved until they magically hate him now) and Romney lost fair and square.

And people who can’t handle that Trump won this round need to stop complaining as well and do what matters: vote. As for the Bernie people who “protest voted” they got exactly what they deserve.
