I love my HBO shows but Netflix has way more quantity and starting to rival HBO’s quality. The new Lost in Space trailer looks like they really spent on it. Seems there’s a new high quality show twice a month. Love their movies too. Most are a nice Length. Like :90 minutes. Really like radius. Would be a nice feather in Netflix cap to land a former president.

I can't imagine that a series about the Obama Administration could ever provide the drama, comedy, and unexpected moments provided by the current administration. The Obama Presidency deserves a serious documentary. The Trump Presidency should be turned into a movie by the same team that brought us This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, Best In Show, and (of course) A Mighty Wind.

FWIW OBama was better at entertaining and pandering to Hollywood than being president. Another mark of how terrible his administration was.

I liked Obama, but I’m not interested in a partisan political TV show, there’s already CNN and Fox News for that.
 
It seems like Apple could benefit from greater outreach and connections in Washington DC., whether they be lobbyists or simply personal relationships.

Netflix (and, at some point Apple) are in the business of generating revenue through subscriptions by producing content that people are willing to pay for. I’m certain that some Obama-produced content will generate far more interest (and subscriptions) than the next generic teen comedy or reality show. It’s just good business. Sure, there are people who hate him, but far, far more people admire him and want to see what he has to say.

The problem can also be the people putting forth the propaganda relentlessly and gaslighting the public? Normalizing such bizarre presidential pop culture fetishes without batting an eye.

For many, the mind is an incredibly malleable thing subject to what’s “in” in pop culture, and peer pressure, and fear of alienation, etc etc

Mendable isn't a word, but the root means to fix. I think you're looking for "malleable."

Breitbart and Fox put out propaganda all day long. I've never let it affect my views or voting practices. I treat everything as if it has bias, because it usually does. What I don't do is get bent out of shape over it and rant. Not saying you are. Others do elsewhere.

In actual concept, I wouldn’t mind having a show with all former presidents Republican or Democrat come together in a round table and civilly discuss the issues at hand. We need to get politics back to a relatively normal state.

I bet a lot of people would actually agree on issues if they would give the time to discuss them like human beings. Like I am all for creating a budget that matches the governments income. We should spend what we can afford. Sure borrowing would be fine as most people have to borrow money as well, but has to be within reason. I think the disagreements would come in where to spend that money, but a middle ground will probably be easy to find if people let our representatives do so vs this my way or the highway partisanship( now this partisanship is the result of our reps riling the base up). Would we have the interstate highway system in todays political environment?

But I’m quickly losing hope in today’s climate. The hypocrisy on both sides is getting ridiculous. When Bush was president, Dems cried about our spending, that he was a traitor, and how Bush was wiping his *** with the constitution. How he was the worst president ever. Obama became president and the sides swapped. Republicans now cared about our spending, how Obama
is a traitor, and how he wipes his *** with the constitution. Same deal different person all depending on if they have a D or R next to their name.

I suggest if people continue to treat our government like their favorite sports team, get out of politics and go watch actual sports. On another forum one person was glad Trump won solely because he was tired of the Republicans losing and he was glad his side finally won. Not because he liked Trump’s policies or who he was. All because he was on Team Republican and he wanted to win! Stop supporting Trump just because you’re a Republican and he is one too. And same for Democrats. Stop hating Trump because he is a Republican and you’re a Democrat.

Everyone should hope our government will do things that will improve the lives of everyone. Whether they are a Democrat or Republican.

Also why even host this on Netflix or Apple’s services? Many would gladly pay $9.99+ a month for Barack exclusive streaming content. barackflix. Barackflix and virtue signal, kinda like the replacement to Netflix and chill

Because I'm not going to type out 30+ services and stations that have left or right bias. I barely watch any American news stations anyway. I prefer reading to get my news. Also easier when you've got kids.

I was just checking that you didn’t think CNN was super woke. Yes, those people do exist. And it’s tough to have discussion moving away from that, when that’s “their” reality despite the Internet existing and there being reasonable rates of literacy
