iOS 7 runs great on my iPhone 5 but runs pretty bad on my iPad 2. The main issues seem to be keyboard lag and general lack of responsiveness at times in the OS. Many people in my extended family and friends have iPads and think the amount of white is excessive. My mom said "I'm going to have to wear sunglasses now to use this thing!" I told her she can easily turn down the brightness, but that also decreases contrast which isn't good for people with poor vision.

I'll just leave my wish list here:

  • Speedier animations for crying out loud!
  • Fix warning popup when using cellular-restricted apps even when on WIFI (I have YouTube blocked for LTE because I sometimes forget and even on WIFI it always pops up and it's annoying!)
  • Fix lag on older iPads, especially with keyboard
  • An option for a darker UI would be great
  • Weather icon with temperature in notification center. Why do I have to read my weather and only sometimes get the current temperature??!?
  • More "widgets" and customization for notification center "Today" view
  • Control Center settings customization. Example: Toggle Tethering instead of Airplane Mode
  • Social share sheet buttons return in Notification Center
  • When selecting a photo to share from the camera roll, I want back the option from iOS 6 to add to Photo Stream directly
  • Touch ID "User Logins" on the next iPad to switch content, wallpapers, mail accounts, etc based on fingerprint when unlocking so families can share
  • More motion wallpapers and/or an API to develop them
  • Real-time Weather app icon with temperature
  • More than 9 items per folder page on iPad!
  • TouchID API for apps like banking, MyVerizon, Mint, Find My iPhone, etc
  • Ability and standard API to replace default apps with equivalent types from the App Store
  • Pushing home button while on home screen opens Spotlight Search like in iOS 6
  • Fix glitchy old reminders from showing up in Notification Center (what is even up with that?)
  • Contacts icon looks gross, especially on iPad for some reason—perhaps because it's used more often on the iPad?
  • News stand icon is also weird and tacky, should go back to showing little previews of magazines
  • Reminders UI needs improving. It's just not that good.

I'm also looking forward to updates to the iWork, iLife, Find My Friends, iBooks, Remote and Find My iPhone interfaces to more closely match iOS 7. I think October will be a good month for this.

For a dark UI, try a dark wallpaper (mostly black). Radically changes the look/feel in my opinion.

Well, at the moment the only things that I think need fixing have to do with the UI. 1. Notes - that yellow is wimpy against white, 2. Choice between white or black overlays (the areas where transparency is used), 3. the icons should be filled in (not outlines). 4. Titles and button actions need to be better defined. Buttons should be encapsulated. Example: Back App Title Done just look like a web page where the CSS didn't load.

No, disliking the icons doesn't make you a troll. Calling it a problem that needs to be fixed, and randomly posting it in a thread about a bug-fix release (as all .X.X releases are) makes you a troll. The icons are not a bug, it's personal preference.
Depends on your definition of problems.
We have been complaining about these icon since the first pre-release. it does not seem like a bug so to speak and I would admit that. But it does not change the fact that they are a problem. And I am not the only one that thinks this way.

Also, they better have a fix for those transitions. It is totally unusable now.

I don't get why people complain about the Parallax, I bet they even had 3DBoard when their iOS 5/6 phone was jail broken. As for the home screen zoom, that's called inclusive design which makes the user feel like he's invited to use something. That's awesome, stop bitching.

They are only a problem for some people because it's a personal preference issue. Do not assume that just because you don't like something that it's a problem for all.

This is the kind of stuff that happens to me:

I charge the phone at night, it gets to 100% and I take it off the charger.

The iPhone (5) sits, unused until the next morning. Wifi and Bluetooth are off. Background refresh is off, but Parallax is on.

The next morning the phone is at 87%. W.T.F.?

With iOS6, it might be 97-98%, maybe.

So why would you take if off the charger? Makes more since to start the day with fresh 100% charge.

I guess I just have a habit of not leaving it plugged in at 100%. Still, it shouldn't drain like that.

I'm just comparing what I used to do versus iOS6.

You forgot the battery drain issue. With EVERYTHING imaginable turned off to save the battery, including siri, I get horrible usage compared to iOS6.

If I could go back to iOS6 on the iPhone, I would in a heartbeat.

I looked to see if anyone else had commented on this and I didn't see anything. Unless you just got through watching four continuous hours of Netflix, something is seriously wrong with your phone. My sister had this problem at one point. Ultimately, she had to completely wipe the phone out and set it up as a new phone, because some messed up setting followed her through three phone replacements.

You should see much larger difference between used hours and standby. So, I', pretty sure it's not an iOS7 issue as my sister had it when she went from 5 to 6. I wish you luck with it, but i doubt any updates will solve it.

I too had some battery issues at first with iOS7. I turned the parallax effect down and then replaced the moving images on my home and lock screen with static images. Then I went into location services and turned off anything that I really didn't need it knowing where I was. Then I went into background app refresh and turned off all those things that I didn't need.

I seem to have very good battery now, even better than iOS6 had. I think this is why some people are having a bad experience and some are having a good experience. You have to be deliberate about your settings to get the most out of your battery.

The nausea inducing transitions are real deal though. Be thankful that you do not have the condition.

The transitions is a problem, I will admit. I haven't had it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I was responding to the idea that the icons are a "problem". They're not a problem for everyone.

I don't suffer from the problem either - however if you have a few drinks and use your phone you can get a sense of what these people mean.

During the beta period of iOS 7, BGR had a lot of "confirmed" "reports" from "sources". ***** them! They don't know *****! BGR could not tell their *ss from a hole in the ground!
Everybody can tell you Apple is working on 7.0.3, as a fact, I can reveal for you Apple will start working on 7.0.4 as well really soon, and have also already started working on iOS 8. This is from the same "trusted source" as BGR uses. Quote this!

The trusted source is most likely someone from one of the big carriers involved in testing iOS updates. This is probably why release dates are often wrong, but overall, what BGR reports about iOS updates is usually pretty accurate.

If these kind of changes are ever coming, they are not likely to come in the form of an incremental update. I guess only in the next main version of iOS may we see some major UI refinements.

Most Apple icons are OK but many 3rd party icons are meaningless and you need to READ the apps name - what a pain! Apple vet these apps better! :( Anyway, so long as Safari is snappier in the new update!:D

I just hope they've got all the kinks worked out by the time my new phones arrive in two to three weeks. Thank you early adopters for dealing with all these problems for me.

My iPhone 5's battery life is unchanged. But my iPod Touch 5G loses 10% every hour, despite 3 restores, and turning off everything that makes owning an iPod Touch worthwhile. Battery life was great on 6.1.3.
