You are missing the point of my post. The point is that they can't pull (or aren't pulling) off new things... not even old new things.
Since they bought the Intel modem division and they make custom silicon, it may be just a matter of time. 900Mhz is a USA thing. I wonder about other countries. That could be byzantine.
The “Apple can’t innovate” meme is easily six or seven years old at this point—hundreds (or thousands) of innovations ago.
Maybe find something else to complain about? That one’s been beaten to death.
