Pros said they didn't care about looks just wanted a modular tower. Here it is. May you live forever in silence with it.

I own a heating /AC company and I need trucks. That cost alone is 15-25k and will last three years. I pay outright for the truck. No financing. Anyone that uses this machine to produce money will gladly pay the 15-20k. It will last years and immediately bring you in more money because you can process workflows faster. It is not an inflated price for what you get. If you are looking for a shiny box to brag about but aren’t using it to its potential, that’s on you.The case design is very ugly, the cheese grater holes are too large, the handles and feet are silly looking, and the curves on the box are unnecessary.
This was the wrong direction for Apple to take. An entry level Mac under $1,000 with upgradable modular parts is the right direction.
This box is unobtainable for even pro users. I’ll be hanging on to my 2010 Mac Pro for many years to come. This is getting ridiculous.
This is over my head because I don't need computers doing these things, but is there any reason one couldn't run NVIDIA or other CUDA capable GPUs in a separate enclosure via Thunderbolt? Would that be significantly slower than cards deployed on the main bus(es)?
What do people think about the $999 monitor stand?
I would put my Threadripper up against the 8 core ANY DAY and smash it. Cost me less than half to build. How is that lies?? I have double the cores, double the ram, 8x the gpu performance, tons more storage and cost half. Apple going lose even more pros with these insane prices

Assuming it's configurable after purchase and repairable. Anxious to read the breakdown inspections.
Well most people don't need that much power. This is a machine for high end production. Apple went big with the Mac Pro, the way a Mac Pro should be.
Apple controls all drivers. They and NVidea for some reason are not working together. It’s all about metal. Nvidia does not support it.This is over my head because I don't need computers doing these things, but is there any reason one couldn't run NVIDIA or other CUDA capable GPUs in a separate enclosure via Thunderbolt? Most of the complaints are probably from people with no intention of buying a Mac Pro - or the haters who’ve never owned an Apple product. Also try being a photography enthusiast (my other hobby). Every time a new camera comes out there are loads of complaints and lots of moaning.Apple creates exactly what Mac fans have been asking for for years and, surprise surprise, more complaining. I definitely didn't see that coming![]()
Laughable. Just like the whole Apple lineup these daysWhat do people think about the $999 monitor stand?

Good luck with that, go do it.Guessing you can build a PC workstation with the same performance at about half the cost or double the performance at the same cost.
In one of the Mac Pro threads, the question was who was this machine for? My answer was Final Cut and Logic customers. If you do really demanding work in either of those 2 programs, Apple has amazing hardware.
