So watching the keynote and they're keeping series 1 and offering a cheaper non cellular version Apple Watch 3, my guess is they've eliminated the series 2 to replace it with the non cellular version.

I’m probably in the minority by I’m glad they are still making a WiFi only version. No sense having cell phone radiation plastered on my wrist 24/7...
I'm with you, if I didn't have the previous gen I might be swayed to pick up series 3.. But I see zero reason to have cellular on my wrist and paying a monthly fee for it. This should be included for free with your current plans, but of course carriers are loving another charge.

If there is a way to make it work with a company-paid cellphone, I'll buy one. Assuming there is not, I'll be skipping this upgrade cycle. (I have a Verizon account for my wife, son, and daughter; but my phone is on my employer's Verizon enterprise agreement.)

This seems nice - I wonder how bad you can beat that up and still have it look pristine - that would be nice..

Ceramic is highly durable and it's very difficult to scratch. The caveat, is it can shatter if dropped.

All I want is this cellular AppleWatch. I just hope it won't be a cluster to use with my corporate-provided iPhone as I won't be able to attach any additional services/charges for it. I'll pay for the standalone if it works with existing number.

Same here. Numero uno on my research to-do before Friday.

So, what happens(ed) to Series 2? Series 3 promo’d and Series 1 mentioned....Does the non-cellular S3 replace the 2??

As I mentioned just above, I'm in the same boat. I hope there's a solution for us.

Pass, the fact they couldn't give a monthly price means it's going to be high. I'm guessing 15-20.00 a month. I can't see a reason to pay that much for it. And without cellular 329 is a good deal but Series 2 can do all the same stuff minus stairs.. so again no reason to upgrade.
I'd wager in the neighborhood of $5-10 extra, sharing your existing data bucket.

No sleep tracking??? Sigh.. I won't get a new ceramic one then :( I will just stick with another SS model for Series 3.

Finally, the Apple Watch I was waiting for.

Evidently it is the Apple Watch Apple always wanted to make. Amazing all the hours spent by Apple advocates over the last several years slamming anybody who said the watch wasn't perfect when first released, and didn't need any of the features Apple has since added, and indeed claims they always WANTED.

They forgot to mention battery life...
It's the same as the previous gen, 18 hours.
They only mentioned for LTE.

Wonder if there's more for non-LTE?
It should be.

NO, just read on Swedish Apple site, up to 18hrs for non LTE.

I am disappointed :(
Seems like it will be a Polar or Garmin for me with that crappy battery on AW3 & no sleep tracker.
