Is it one of those releases tomorrow but actually pre-order at some other date? Wondering if would be getting benchmarks reviews before handCurious to see if M2 Max GPU scaling is better than M1's was, also really wanted to see HW accelerated ray tracing
M2 13 "Pro" launched in July 2022. No way Apple is pushing it out of the lineup with a new machine this soon.A lot us wonder about the 2022 13" M2 MBP with a 720p FaceTime HD camera, and just stereo speakers?
That was like a rush job to throw that together. Comparably the 13" M2 MBA had 1080P FaceTime camera and Four-speaker sound system.
It would makes sense if that saw some changes for the 13" M2 MBP along with the Mac minis finally seeing a M2.
This "new" is for the "old" MBP13 M2.Mine does?
Or here is the Macbook Pro, er, Apple Car...It's the new steampunk edition!
Do you think I care if you think I'm lying or not? You can go to the Apple site yourself 🙄🙄🙄🙄Provide a screenshot as proof, or we will all assume you are lying.
I think you have some good stuff right there to put in the "The new mac mini is certainly coming"-thread...On another thread we were discussing what the M2 mini and a M2 Pro mini might be priced at and I was checking current mini prices on Apple. I noticed that all the custom orders seemed to be pushed out into February and it struck me as odd as I didn't think the lead time was that long now.
I think you are confused. That's the 13-inch MacBook Pro, not the 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chips that will be announced tomorrow.Do you think I care if you think I'm lying or not? You can go to the Apple site yourself 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Me too!M2 Pro Mac Mini and I’m in!
Don’t worry. Really. I know it sucks having just purchased the previous model (you can return it if you’re in the 14 day window), but honestly, aside from the faster RAM and one or two more GPU cores (e.g. 8 vs 10), there’s not much improvement. The big difference lies on the efficiency of the 4 low power cores, and that’s not very relevant for the iMac and any desktop for that matter.I bought an M1 24" iMac last week, so it'll include the M2 24" iMac. I hope you appreciate my sacrifice, as there was no way they'd do it if I hadn't made that purchase...
And… John Prosser.Dang, will I begrudgingly have to admit Max Tech was correct in their prediction last week?

I better be seeing a '23 Mac Mini. And if they want to really do me a nice one, release a 27" iMac, priced better than the Mini and Studio Display separates.
Apple will make its first product announcement of 2023 through a press release on its website tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17, according to Apple leaker Jon Prosser. MacRumors can corroborate an announcement is expected to take place this week.

The announcement could be one of several products expected in the near future, including updated MacBook Pros and Mac mini models.
The updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to feature the same design as the models announced in October 2021, with only updated performance thanks to the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. An updated Mac mini is also expected to benefit from the performance of new M2 chips, but rumors suggest it will feature the same design as the current model.
MacRumors has also learned Apple will hold briefings later this week with members of the press and media on the new devices ahead of review embargoes for the new products lifting next week.

I thought it was M2, I read different
Yes, I thought it had said new on the 16 inch but I was wrong 😭😭The 13" MacBookNotPro has an M2 (updated from M1) while the 14" and 16" MacBookPro have M1Pro and M1max and will go to M2Pro and M2Max at some point this year.
