Why do you think there must be an M2 price hike if the overall design itself is unchanged? The M2 13" MacBook Pro is the same price as its M1 predecessor. The M2 Air received an increase because it had an all new design and several more expensive components vs the M1 Air (custom screen, better webcam, etc.)That MacMini already is $1099 by just getting it to 16/512GB.
Before any M1->M2 price hike surely before a $400 M2->M2Pro BTO upsale.....
I just want a damn pro motion iPad mini.
God really hoping it’s an audio related announcement, like a new HomePod pleaseee
Prepare to be disappointed, then. It's just gonna be the 14-inch + 16-inch MBP refresh with M2 chips.New Mac mini and a Midnight colored 14" MB Pro please.
Possible, but it would be unusual. Historically they preview the Mac Pro at WWDC with deliveries in December. If it supports AMD graphics then a June preview is more likely as that is when we can expect workstation variants of the RX 7000 series.Maybe they will announce the updated Mac Pro?

On one hand, that would be disappointing. On the other, it'd probably stop me from spending money at least.Prepare to be disappointed, then. It's just gonna be the 14-inch + 16-inch MBP refresh with M2 chips.
I co-sign the Brother lasers. I've had one forever, replacing the LAST Brother laser I had. Dirt cheap and pretty easy to maintain. Every now and then, there's a weird glitch where it won't print more than 31 pages at a stretch (always 31!), but I always manage to fix it.If they don’t need color, just get a B/W Brother laser. They are trouble-free, low cost, a cartridge last forever. We found that we rarely printed in color and the ink jets were expensive crap.
Out of these only the iMac and M2 Mini seems likely with MBP being barely plausible.
M2 Mini will see a price hike (just like the M2 MBA) and BTOed with 24/512 it will be over 1.500$ leaving not enough room for M2Pro SKUs before bumping into MacStudio pricing.
Also, an M2 Pro Mini would have faster single-core CPU and GPU performance than the M1 Max Studio, which could be awkward until the Studio line gets a M2 bump.
Literally every argument here is poor.
1. We're not talking about old trickle down products. We're talking about a yet to be release brand new product. No M2 Pro is going to debut in a $1499 box.
2. Who is it going to sell to? Anyone who might buy it would also buy a Studio or a MBP. Apple isn't going to lose money on those purchases just because.
If there is a new Mac mini, I wonder if it’ll ship with USB-C accessories like the new AppleTV did.
If so, that could make the iPhone 14 and AirPods Pro 2 Apple’s last Lightning products.
I have been lurking for 15-20 years or so. Just registered to show my appreciation of you altering space-time. Well done!I bought an M1 24" iMac last week, so it'll include the M2 24" iMac. I hope you appreciate my sacrifice, as there was no way they'd do it if I hadn't made that purchase...
Tuesday, January 17, according to Apple leaker Jon Prosser
Prosser again...
Exactly! Reading it was Prosser mentioning it, makes the whole thing a coin toss now… better to forget and expect that maybe nothing will happen.Jon Prosser is never right about anything though.
I third this. I had one I bought in 2001 going off to college and it lasted 15 years. The cartridge wasn't even empty but the fuser started leaving a gray haze on everything I printed and macOS dropped driver support for that specific model. We replaced it with a new AirPrint-enabled Brother printer and its amazing and perfect for occasional use.I co-sign the Brother lasers. I've had one forever, replacing the LAST Brother laser I had.
