Apple Polishing Cloth 2 (with a notch, of course)
This years will still feature a notch but it will be 40% smaller than last years notch and next years will feature an island so you can still get notifications on your island on your phone while your cleaning. Apple can still innovate people..

I’m guessing it will be
- M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro
- M2 and M2 pro Mac Mini
- M2 iMac

Out of these only the iMac and M2 Mini seems likely with MBP being barely plausible.

M2 Mini will see a price hike (just like the M2 MBA) and BTOed with 24/512 it will be over 1.500$ leaving not enough room for M2Pro SKUs before bumping into MacStudio pricing.

My guess M2 upgrade for everything still on M1 (aka Mini and iMac) since M2Pro/Max would warrant a bigger announcement.

If Pro/Max do come only for the MBP and maybe for the top end iMac.

Apple will make its first product announcement of 2023 through a press release on its website tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17, according to Apple leaker Jon Prosser. MacRumors can corroborate an announcement is expected to take place this week.

The announcement could be one of several products expected in the near future, including updated MacBook Pros and Mac mini models.

The updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to feature the same design as the models announced in October 2021, with only updated performance thanks to the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. An updated Mac mini is also expected to gain from the performance of new M2 chips, but rumors suggest it will feature the same design as the current model.

MacRumors has also learned Apple will hold briefings later this week with members of the press and media on the new devices ahead of review embargoes for the new products lifting next week.

I could do with a MBP 14 with M2 Max, my son needs a laptop for uni and as his current Dell is down to a 2 hours battery life.

Well, why not? It was rumoured that Apple was contemplating it and testing it. So its fairly reasonable to expect that. Studio is Max and Ultra, so Mini be M2 and M2 Pro makes sense also.
Makes sense for who?

The customer who wants the cheapest possible entry point into Pro Apple Silicon? What makes you think Apple is at all interested in that?

Where was that thread where someone added the maximum to the cart for thousands of $$$?

999 @ $18,981.00 + tax = $20,119.86.

Can't say I'm believing him on this. If it was anything major (M2 pro/max/ultra) in any device. I would expect something more than a press announcement. So, I'm going with a M2 Mac Mini. And maybe an M2 MacBook Pro.
An actual event in March to me sounds more likely for a Pro/Max/Ultra on 3nm. WWDC for any VR/AR headsets and a Mac Pro Ultra/Xtreme type SOC.

I bought an M1 24" iMac last week, so it'll include the M2 24" iMac. I hope you appreciate my sacrifice, as there was no way they'd do it if I hadn't made that purchase...
In my opinion you bought one of the best of the M1 devices if it was the 8CPU 8GPU. A lovely little machine for the money. I was blown away how good it was and the m1 Mac mini. Was less than impressed with the M2 devices thus far, but happy to be proved wrong. So I wouldn't be too downhearted at your purchase.
