The same crap as always.

- you will only be able to connect one computer. You won't be able to connect multiple computers at the same time and then switch back and forth.
- the monitor will only work properly with Macs. With other systems the monitor will only work limited.
- Only 1 year warranty
- Glossy ... and so on

... and new with Apple: Monitor with fan and firmware updates.

27 is way too small to get work done, try having 2 windows side to side with a descent sized font, it should be 30 at the very least. 32 would be best. That said, you can get a Cinema display 30 for less money and better quality.
It's not the screen size (27" vs 30") its the 5K resolution. We had many years of 27" iMacs that having two pages side by side wasn't a issue. You can almost fit a 30" screen in the older 27" chassis if they made it be like the 14"/16" MBP designs. So this display doesn't have to be noticeably larger.

I was one of those who preordered the Apple Studio Display and waited 12 weeks for delivery. Although there were issues being reported from users, I actually enjoy using one despite the lower brightness and no ProMotion support. 27-inch is big enough on an office desk next to a 27-inch iMac or 14-inch MacBook Pro.

I love my 27" Studio Display and wouldn't upgrade for mini-LED as I'm not a graphics pro. Nor do I need ProMotion.

What I would like though, is a bigger Studio display for under $2k. 27" is fine, but 32" would be better. :)

I know there are plenty of other monitor brands, but the seamless integration of the Studio Display with MacOS make it a joy to use vs. non-Apple monitors. Specifically the speakers, webcam, integrated controls. It all feels as it should be and a perfect integration with my MacBook Pro.

Maybe my eyesight is bad, but for macOS UI elements and text I can't notice a difference in display quality between the Studio Display and the Pro Display XDR. Not sure what advantages a Mini-LED will have unless you are doing detailed photo/video editing.
Your eyesight is definitely bad. If you compare side by side in-store it’s crazy how different both monitors are.
The XDR is way brighter, the dimming zones and colour accuracy.
And MiniLED is another story. Should be even brighter than the XDR in theory and even more dimming zones. (I love my MBP14 display)
I don’t think this new one will replace the XDR though

Hopefully they will have learnt their lesson with the studio display, no apple system running on it etc.
I’d assume better anti reflective on it too

I'd rather a 27" display with 5K pixels than a 32" display with only 4K pixels spread out over that larger area.

Good for you. Meanwhile there are users that need as big display as possible. If you think 16" is enough for everyone than you really need to get out of your bubble and look around.

I get a lot of my work (actually all of it) done on my 16 inch MacBook Pro screen. Not sure why one should need a 30 inch display to “get work done” tbh.

People who work at Apple only know and hang with people who have incomes in the top 5%. They don't know “regular people” with more common incomes and they don't how those people live. That's partly why Apple products will always have things like $999 monitor stands.

120 Hz, Wifi, and an Apple TV OS on there would be great, but even if no Apple TV OS, 120 Hz would make me consider this for sure.

From a mobile laptop usage standpoint it is. Not like anyone would carry a laptop with a larger display everywhere. But what we have here is utilizing a larger display docked that would be easier on the eyers to use, versus someone comfortable with doing it all on a 16" display on a MBP. Depends on your preferences. Right now I haven't seem a larger mini-LED display I would want from Apple.
