Take a deep breath and relax. It's called an observation.

It ceased being only an observation when you referred to an ad which, on the same grounds as your "observation" in this case, had the quality of being cringe-inducing. So if it wasn't you who cringed (or wanted to cringe in the very least), who was it?

Apple loves pushing the black/white interracial couple angle in a lot of their ads. It's done deliberately and it comes off as corny and artificial. That interracial thanksgiving commercial still makes me laugh.

Uhh...you don't live in a City (I mean a real one), do you?

Finally.

It's about time they had a good one. Last great one was the iPad Mini piano duet and before that it'd been a while since they had a winner. Jobs was a boss at tossing bad ads.

Uhh... I live in one of the top 3 most "multicultural" cities on the planet. What does that have to do with Apple's corny and artificial interracial couple ads?

No offense, but your post makes no sense at all. "It ceased being an observation...". What does that even mean? And where did I ever say I wasn't the one who cringed at that goofy thanksgiving commercial?

Well it's accurate! My friend took this picture yesterday, on her iPhone. See 0:42 in the ad. It's from the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.

Would be true if iPhones were the most sold smartphones in the world but they aren't Samsung phones are. Suggesting there are people who don't trust those Samsung phones for pictures...or there are people who use iPhones to shoot even though they have other smartphones in their possession.

Different interpretations for different eyes i guess. *shrug*
You're reading way to much into the flick'r numbers to make that assessment.

My point was simply people don't use carry their iPhone b/c it has a camera. They carry it b/c we ALL carry our phone's everywhere. They use the camera b/c they have it with them when opportunity presents itself.

This is why compact camera sales are continuing their free fall. You already have the camera in your pocket, why would you carry something else?

People don't use the iPhone camera it's better than any other current smartphone. The blurry photo's I see on the internet, that some folks "like" or comment on as 'great' from iPhone users tell me most users simply have low standards.

And Samsung sells more phones. But not all their phones are smartphones.

Just out of curiosity: Is there such a page as "SamsungRumors"? I'm sure some people would have more fun there...

Sure there's not; it's only sad apple fanboys that get excited about the prospect of pictures of the new iPhone volume control PCB!

Clasic :)

removable battery, SD card, USB port, Flash etc. If you are into that kind of crap chances are you never had an iPhone and you are here just trolling (like so many S-Sheeps now days on this forum)

Does it hurt you so much that I used to own an iPhone but now prefer a phone from another manufacturer? Unfortunately yes, I am into an easy cheap way to upgrade my memory, to enjoy wireless charging, have the option of carrying a spare battery and enjoy a larger screen. Shame you see that as being crap; and that ironically, you've just joined the isheep brigade through posting such tripe.

----------

If you want to futz with external storage that you could lose, damage, or that could corrupt then the S[3, 4] is for you. But it's a dated feature. Even point and shoots are trying to get automatic cloud services in order.

I personally prefer to take a photo and have it already be on my computer whenever I sit down, or put it in a PhotoStream that I can share with anyone. It's just simpler. No adapters or importing files or removing .

futz? In case you weren't aware, the Samsungs SD card slot is on the inside (yes, unlike apple, Samsung let you upgrade your memory!) and I've NEVER had a problem with loosing data ... This is 2013, not 1984! I don't see the option to upgrade memory as dated! Not everyone has access to the cloud 24/7 or wishes to do so; even though the S3 quite merrily saves to the cloud!

I stopped trusting Apple's ad after the first iPhone4S ad which are very misleading.... Siri doing all those stuff which does not meet real life expectations:

I don't hate Apple, but just take a look at how much brainwashing by them goes:
http://www.apple.com/iphone/why-iphone/

Quote: "The Retina display on iPhone ushered in the era of super-high-resolution displays. Its pixel density is so high, your eye can’t distinguish individual pixels. The images and words are amazingly vivid and crisp. Everything just looks so real. In fact, once you see a Retina display, you’re never satisfied with anything less. Yet it remains a feature found only on iPhone and other Apple products."

So, the iPhone5 is the camera with most pictures taken? I don't trust this ad at all.

PS: I'm not hating Apple, I still love their products, but I'm just sharing my point of view about their ads.

Obviously your exclamation mark key is working properly.

I'm aware of how the SD card works. The largest Micro SD card you can get is 64 GB, so the storage difference isn't mind blowing. And for the record I've had two micro SD cards go bad. One was shorted out because the seating had condensation build-up from skiing and being in my jacket, and the second simply failed.

All I'm saying is that removable media isn't the forward-looking killer feature that some people make it out to be. You save $150, and that argument is fair.

Read it over. It says "ceased being only an observation", which means that when you're cringing over it, it's hard to believe your statement about it just being an observation.

You never said you didn't cringe at the commercial. When I assumed it wasn't you who did, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt since you at the same time had written that it was just an observation.

The difference in price (in the UK) between a 16GB iPhone and a 64GB iPhone is £170. Why then should I have to pay that much to expand my phone by 32GB, when I can regulary buy a 32GB SD card for around £25; and not be forced to decide from day one which phone to buy (and perhaps regret not buying one with more memory at a later date). One of the great things about my Samsung and Lumia 820 is I can upgrade as I choose, simply and cheaply.

As for your argument about SD cards going bad; I've NEVER had this issue despite having purchased hundreds over the years (as a photographer). To have 2 cards go wrong suggests you're buying some nasty rubbish! I also buy class 10 cards; but even if I was to buy a cheap class 3, the difference in speed (on a mobile phone) would be totally negligable (although I'm sure we'll now get a thread of replies quoting millisecond differences between media!)

You're other point about the difference between 16GB and 64GB not being 'mind blowing' also (along with buying poor quality SD cards) shows your lack of understanding about memory; the difference between the information (images, music, video) you can carry on a 64GB phone versus a 16GB is significant - its THOUSANDS of photo's, THOUSANDS of songs and perhaps around 32 movies or more.

At the end of the day though, other manufacturers give you option of upgarding, Apple dont, and its pretty sad and a sign of desperation when iPhone users (as I once was myself!) try to convince others that this feature (use it or not) is a negative; either down to pure jelousy, trying to defend their purchase to the nth degree whilst denying Apple are really just milking them for more money .... or of course, just stupidity!

No, it isnt a 'killer feature', but it is a feature the S3 has which the iPhone doesnt, along with NFC, wireless charging and a better screen ... all features I use and all the reasons why I ditched my iPhone (after buying them for the past 6 years) for a Samsung. The fact there are people on forums engaging in petty arguments (my phone is better than yours) when clearly thats not the case is, as I said above, just sad and desperate!

90% of blurry photos are down to the man not the hardware. Of course camera phone pics will nver compete with a DSLR but its still comparable to a lot of point and shoots. Also smartohones outsold feature phones this last quarter

you come up with some great stories

if you think I am lying, you're just kidding yourself. Go ask any phone store how many of each brand phone come in per day and I bet Samsung will be at the top in the majority of stores.

This ad marks a change in Apple's product naming

Love the ad, just noticed an interesting change in the way Apple calls its products.

Steve Jobs always omitted "the" from "the iMac" or "the iPhone". Apple ads reflected this too. It's like Apple described its products as people. This ad marks a change to align with what the majority of people call Apple products.

Old way:
"Every day, more photos are taken with iPhone than any other camera"

New way:
"Every day, more photos are taken with the iPhone than any other camera"

Again, respectfully, your post doesn't make any sense. I never said it was "just" an observation, whatever that is supposed to mean. I said it was an observation. Point blank. And I'm not asking you to "believe" anything, nor am I requesting "the benefit of the doubt" from you or anyone else.

As much as I hate the obnoxious "shouting" ads, I don't think this one is much better.
