What music plays in the Ad

I would really like to know what the name of the song playing in the background is, it's beautiful.

By the way a very nice ad indeed.

I am no fanboy and I'm not particularly worried with this stupid and pointless commercial. What really worries me is the fact that Apple has to rely on stupid commercials to sell a product that should be its flagship. Sounds like a desperate manuever just before the launch of the Galaxy S4. I don't see Apple craving for quality commercials like it did some years ago. It's not the stupid commercial itself. Apple shares are falling, and the trust in a bright future for the company is diminishing. It's the whole context.

LOL! The iPhone should be Apple's flagship? I must remember that one!! :D

I just stopped looking forward to WWDC...highly doubting anything interesting will come if they are still creating new iPhone 5 advertisements.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great camera. But they don't commonly advertise their products this close to a new placement.

WWDC is still reasonably far away. Not to mention whatever new iPhone they announce will likely not go on sale right away (based on every year since the first iPhone was announced). Most people don't follow the rumors, why would apple stop advertising to them?

Call Samsung if you wish, but be fair in your criticism! (ex iPhone 5 user who moved to an S3 and looking forward to the 4!)

Just out of curiosity: Is there such a page as "SamsungRumors"? I'm sure some people would have more fun there...

I was at some Android site the other day...I didn't stay long, but all the articles I saw were about iOS.

Exactly!
I never take photos with my iPhone.
Why? Because I'm a professional photographer and I just want better photos than what an iPhone can manage. iPhone's only advantage is, it's with me all the time. But if I'm traveling to someplace interesting, I wouldn't just rely on my iPhone to capture those special moments. Not to mention other phones in Japan offer much higher resolution cameras with better lenses and sensors.

You know this ad wasn't for you, right? Not hating or anything, but you have to keep in mind that as a pro, you aren't the target. It's for those out and around capturing an unexpected moment. The ad is promoting that moment and tying it to the product, not about which camera is best on vacation.

Wow. It's not 1956. This is an issue to you really??

Take a deep breath and relax. It's called an observation.

Apple loves pushing the black/white interracial couple angle in a lot of their ads. It's done deliberately and it comes off as corny and artificial. That interracial thanksgiving commercial still makes me laugh.

One more reason for me to long for the down vote.

I don't think anyone would argue an iPhone could replace a (D)SLR; I think the commercial shows that the phone is great when you want to take spontaneous snap of life...

Our iPhones did for the most part replace our DSLR, because of simple logistics. The phones are always with us, they don't require anything to carry them other than our clothes (i.e., bags, straps), they allow some options not typically available in a camera-only type device ("instant" backup, sharing, quick edits, tagging, etc.)

I busted out the Nikon for our Christmas photo, but before that it had been months and months since we last used it. We're headed down to Universal for a few days, we go 2-3 times a year, and with a 5 year old there's endless photo opps, but we've never thought twice about lugging the DSLR. We've even had a few printed/framed and they're outstanding.

I agree. I was down in Orlando for the first time last year back in June. Went to visit Disney and was happy I didn't have to lug around a larger camera. I always wanted a DSLR but that feeling is beginning to wane...

My dad has the S2 and it just froze up permanently just from pressing the wrong freaking button. This is why a lot of people prefer macs, because you can't accidentally screw something up and get on with your work.

you come up with some great stories

Only apple can have a 1 minute ad with 55 seconds of not saying anything and speak a grand discourse of words to people.

Actually, Nike cranks out some pretty damn good ads.

Here's a great ad that doesn't have any speaking at all.

They've got plenty of great ads.

Meh...not sure you can really make that comparison. Smartphones are vastly more personal than PCs and taking pictures is a very important component of smartphone use. The fact that a lot of people take pictures with iPhones implies that it is widely acknowledged (word of mouth or otherwise) as a very good camera.

Thats how i took the ad anyway

Not really. It simply implies that Apple has sold a lot of iPhones and people carry their phones everywhere. Because they carry it everywhere, they have a camera available. They don't carry the phone b/c of the camera, they have a camera b/c it's built into the phone.

And Nikon/Cannon need to wake up. Phone camera's are killing their compact camera sales. Their message needs to be take BETTER photos than the iPhone.

And to be honest, I've seen very few phone camera photo's that are worth looking at. Most of them are blurry, grainy, and out of focus. Yes you "CAN" get good photos, but you'll get better ones with a dedicated camera. People have low standards when it comes to media.

Would be true if iPhones were the most sold smartphones in the world but they aren't Samsung phones are. Suggesting there are people who don't trust those Samsung phones for pictures...or there are people who use iPhones to shoot even though they have other smartphones in their possession.

Different interpretations for different eyes i guess. *shrug*

Did you watch the ad? At what point does it advertise the iPhone 5?

Too bad for you. I did as well and the S3 is the biggest POS with a cheap cartoon display. The only and I mean ONLY reason anyone thinks Samsung is this "godlike" phone is because they've been brainwashed by the corporate conglomerate that is Samsung, who has spent RECORD amounts of dollars to convince those like yourself that their old-tech, passe, horribly inaccurate AMOLED displays are in any way competitive.

The screens on the S4 and HTC One blow the doors off any iPhone ever made.
