Isn't the commercial sprints? At the end it showed the Sprint symbol then Apple's. Apple wouldn't put a provider in its commercial.

When I saw the commercial on tv, I thought the same thing, but I thought Verizon had made it because it had the Verizon logo before the apple logo.

I just stopped looking forward to WWDC...highly doubting anything interesting will come if they are still creating new iPhone 5 advertisements.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great camera. But they don't commonly advertise their products this close to a new placement.

The new iPhone won't be released until October. WWDC is a developers conference - they do sometimes use it to kick off new hardware, but haven't done an iOS device since the iPhone 4 (Since then they have moved to October launch.) They will announce iOS 7 and 10.9 and hopefully release a beta.

Unless they have some breakthrough technology that no one knows about on the new iPhone I don't really care about its hardware - the software is where all the cool stuff will be.

Total fail and will Love to see how they justify it in the UK as they will need to show where they get there info saying the most used camera etc. I suspect if you say the most used at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino they would get away with it. Not everyone uploads their photos so I cant see how you can justify the claim.

How would you address the issue re the Samsung having...ability to store images on SD card then ... or have you run out of ideas?

If you want to futz with external storage that you could lose, damage, or that could corrupt then the S[3, 4] is for you. But it's a dated feature. Even point and shoots are trying to get automatic cloud services in order.

I personally prefer to take a photo and have it already be on my computer whenever I sit down, or put it in a PhotoStream that I can share with anyone. It's just simpler. No adapters or importing files or removing pieces.

Flickr and Instagram stats, my friend. And it stands to reason. It's one product which a sizable percentage of the population has in their pocket.

Even the iPhone 4S camera is still better than almost every other camera phone out there. Apple is right to tout this.

I've taken photos with my iPhone that look better than the ones from my S95.

Well Pro do you remember the saying "This best camera is the one you have on you". Plus most everyone is NOT a Pro photographers so leave you avant-garde attitude to your coworkers! Plus most all the situations shown in the commercial look like spur of the moment kind of pictures.

Thanks for pointing out another reason why these are'nt proper photographs, not one of the pictures was properly posed, I saw no-one with a light meter and no-one seemed to be taking the process seriously.

Observation without Judgment

Something I noticed, not sure there is anything in it at all, but they used the (older?) wider/bolder iPhone font, not the slimmer one used in the iPhone 5 marketing/box

Probably nothing there, but just an observation

Apple has put AT&T's logo in an ad back in the days when they were the only carrier. They certainly don't make a habit of it though.

Actually, I think all the iPhone ads end with a carrier, and the same ad may have any of the carriers at the end. The 4S and 5 I know both did, as did the 4, if I recall correctly. It was timed to the bump, bump, bump at the end of the music. (I am thinking the maestro and chess ones). iPhone {bump} :apple: {bump} Carrier {bump}

Of course, online, I think they leave the specific carrier off. But I know I have seen both those ads with AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint at the end.

I remember a series of like ten Apple ads where I went out and bought the music almost immediately. Lately, I can't even remember the music used. It could be a symptom of my getting older or it could be the lack of Steve Jobs' ear or it could be a complete coincidence. But at the same time, Apple seems to be losing its cachet. Related?

I feel the same way, but thinking it is just a combination putting things together that really don't have a bearing on each other, but from the outside, appear to tell a story.

Try reading my post my friend.

No its the same commercial, but here it advertised with Sprint at the end. I see it on Apple's website so must be Apple's. I thought it was a sprint commercial for the iPhone at first.

Carriers pay for their logos to be included at the start or the end of a spot. They pay big and it will cover the cost of the spot.

Dunno who is behind this ad, but it might be the best ad for an Apple product in a while. Well done.

Totally agree. The one thing that is setting Apple ads apart from the competition is Apple's focus on 'benefites' instead of 'features'. Those that purchase 'features' will never be satisfied, whereas those that purchase 'benefits' will will have their true inner needs addressed.

I loved this ad. It was a step back in the right direction after those other commercials with the shouting.

I would like to add, that near the end of this commercial there is a short clip with a little girl giggling and falling over on her bed. This had my wife and I cracking up. WE WANT TO KNOW!

Oh gods... are we frakking eggy?

Probably a response to the new Galaxy pizza box sized phone. They have a high megapixel camera.

Those that know, know it's a game of quality components, not megapixels.

The iPhone 5, being last generations phone, still beats the best of the new Galaxy phone cameras. Pretty sad Galaxy folks, but thanks for trying. You're almost there. ;)

Great comparison of the Galaxy to the iPhone here. http://www.technobuffalo.com/2013/04/24/samsung-galaxy-s4-vs-iphone-5-camera-comparison/

While I agree the point of the ad is stupid (as a user on the first page said, more work is done on a PC than any other computer), why are you getting more and more worried at Apple's future? I don't understand fanboy statements like that. They made a commercial, so you are worried?

I am no fanboy and I'm not particularly worried with this stupid and pointless commercial. What really worries me is the fact that Apple has to rely on stupid commercials to sell a product that should be its flagship. Sounds like a desperate manuever just before the launch of the Galaxy S4. I don't see Apple craving for quality commercials like it did some years ago. It's not the stupid commercial itself. Apple shares are falling, and the trust in a bright future for the company is diminishing. It's the whole context.
