Apple Said to Be Stopping Use of TLC NAND Flash in iPhone 6 and 6 Plus After Reported Issues

Yes, i'm still not quite sure what the problem can be.
I litteraly tried everything i could and still this problem exist nonetheless.

I searched on google for this problem, but couldn't find something related or that people does have experienced it?
And even with this exchanged phone the problem is still there, which is kind of weird?

Although i'm a really heavy safari user so i tend to put the music app on while browsing,
and if this problem occurs so often it's really annoying.

I've been keeping an eye on it since the first time it happend, and it only happens when i try to load something big.
And this especially happens so often and randomly while loading a content-rich-websites and sometimes in opening/closing apps.

Did you use a backup or did you set it as a new phone?

So you say the TLC NAND is not responsible for any problems? Funny we never heard of such problems under the MLC nand. I think the TLC sucks big time. Wish my iPhone 6 plus and iPad Air 2 hade MLC :(

I'm just saying a problem in the NAND could theoretically be related to crashes (even though my 128GB TLC iPhone 6 NEVER crashed in 2 months), but certainly not to noise in music playing.

I did both, first backup and restored the backup and the problem was still there.
And then eventually multiple restore as new without any results..

That says a lot. So you did everything trying to have a functional unit. How many apps do you have installed?

My guess you have a app installed that makes your iPhone 6 crazy. Are most apps installed IOS 8 READY or iPhone 6 ready?

Yes, my last Iphone 6 was on 8.1 and the problem was there so i decided to upgrade to 8.1.1 and nothing.
And then i exchanged the Iphone 6 and got a new one.
And with the new one it had 8.0.2 and i upgraded to 8.1.1 and then eventually 8.1,
but still with the same issue in every IOS firmware.

Although the phone is jailbroken, without jailbreak the problem is still there.
So the first time it happend, i kept an eye on it and i really have tested it thorougly with anything i can think of.

And as far i have 31 apps installed on my Iphone 128GB Space Grey.
And at first i have tested the device with no apps on it and the problem was still there.
I have Iphone 6 setup as new even without the Icloud backup, so no apps/setting/backups or whatsoever from the beginning.

Funny that it exists with jailbreak and without jailbreak. And with less than 40 apps it's sure not a app issue. Did u try it out of the box without ever have jailbroken it? Did the problem exist right away?

Yep, i did that as first and the problem still exist right away.

At first i've been thinking it could be and software issue, but since i couldn't find anything i'm still unsure what it could be the culprit.
I then bumped on this TLC/MLC problem so i'm skeptic if this is really a TLC NAND problem?

Look under iOS 8.1 both my air 2 and 6 plus both where not 100% stable. Since I updated to 8.1.1 everything is fine. But I did a test with my Air 1 and Air 2.
The Air 1 transfers a 1700MB file in 47 Seconds. The Air 2 used 58 Seconds. In my eyes the TLC is far inferior. And much more prone to failures.

Than my guess is that they have a faulty batch. Bring it back and try to buy it in a other apple shop. Did you think of that?

I have been thinking of that too, i have ordered it online via T-mobile Online.
When i had this problem i told the customer service, they did me bring a new device but unfortunaly this had the same issue.

So it could maybe a faulty batch or something. I haven't really seen/find anybody on the internet with this problem.

But i told a friend to replicate this issue on his 128GB Space Grey and he had the same.
Since he is not so OCD he doesn't care much lol, and i'm the opposite and i do care haha.

How could I replicate the problem?

Turn the music app on and put a song on that is soft and quiet to your ears so you can possibly hear the issue if it's there.

And then go to safari and go to content-rich-websites and also have some multiple tabs open and go back and forth.
Just to let the phone work, while loading, i had that static pop/crack sound for half an second in my song/music and then goes away.

This can happen often, like the song is 4 minutes the issue can occur like 6/7 times,
but that really depends if you are really putting your phone to work/stress or not.

And it also happens while the music app is on and i go to app to app but that happens not so often as while i'm on safari with the music app on.

I'm from The Netherlands tho.^^

This has been tested on the loudspeakers, i also have tried the original headset from iphone and it was there.
I'm going to try to replicate the problem again with loudspeakers and the original headset of my iphone.

But most likely it is still there since i just listened to music two hours ago while on safari.

I just tried opening every app i have and switching from tab to tab in safari. I cant hear that static sound. But i saw somewhere one with the same issue in a other forum. I guess you're not alone.

Hope you can find out what is responsible for that strange sounds.

I listened with the loudspeakers this time and yes i still have it.
How awful, i just wish i could let it fade away! :(

And now listening to The Weeknd - Often without the use of safari or anything else.
So only music app only and then i don't have this issue.

The issue only comes up when i put my phone under heavy pressure, like multitasking, work,loading..
Such a bummer tho this never happend on my Iphone 5.

That's real strange. I cannot explain this somehow. What kind of TLC do you have? Toshiba or SanDisk?

----------

But I would try to exange it. Don't live with it. Your phone should be perfect.
