Yeah it's... Getting old. More proof that "tech" is out of ideas.

A world of limitless possibilities and all they've done for the past decade is produce various screen sizes to get me on the Internet. Wake me up when they do something worth having a media event for.

It definitely seems like companies are running out of "must have" features for smartphones. The smartwatch thing seems more like a fad than the next big thing. I'm not sure what the next revolutionary idea will be, but it seems far off at the moment.

the ipad air better have 2 gb ram.

i'm more excited about the apple display and new macs :D

With the 6 plus I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last iPad Mini refresh we see.

holy macs apple, i have yet to purchase my macbook pro and now this news? I better win the lottery if I want to keep up with this.

I think we'll start to see more differentiation of the iPad line from the iPhone line - especially with the advent of the larger iPhones.

iOS 8 updates will come quickly and in bulk - all these issues to fix plus extra features for the iPad.

Looking forward to TouchID in the Air - that's all I really want to upgrade for (that and to get back LTE and 128GB storage).

I'm thinking we see updates across the board: iPads, iPods, AppleTVs and Macbook Airs, Yosemite and an additional iOS 8 release (with Apple Pay and perhaps some of the other features that are being delayed).

i think every body work pay bill for apple ,,,, too much money on it now ...

an ipad , an iphone , mac , all kind of stuff ,,, crazy .......

I expect an update to the Mac Pro w/ the new display.

Shhhhhhh, don't say that out loud. My '13 Mac Pro6,1 will be offended. :p

Seriously though, 5K before 4K? DP 1.3? I have 2x 27" LED LCD's begging for an update. That's cold, Apple, just... cold.

More predictable iDevice upgrades, why even bother with a "media event"?

FINALLY. Someone else who sees this.
Apple Events have, for awhile now, become parodies of themselves.
Same tired cliches, catchphrases, tropes, buzzwords, graphics, etc., etc.

Steve created these to mean something
Now they do them just to do them. And for spec bumped products, no less!

What Apple must do is stop having events for every product release.
They've become watered down & not guanteed blowaway like they once were.
A specialized splashpage on thier website plus press notices are more than enough.

Save the events for really special things.
That way, when they do happen, the public will think:
"Oh, crap-this one's a biggie 'cause Apple doesn't have these events for just anything!"

Example:
DESERVED EVENTS
iMac [G3]
iMac [Sunflower]
iMac [G5]
iBook [Clamshell]
iPod
iPhone
iPhone 3G
iPhone 4
iPhone 5
iPhone 6/6 Plus
iPod Touch
iPod Nano [The one with the camera & played games. Thier best nano ....]
MacBook Air [Pulling it out of an envelope .... Fantastic!!]
AppleTV
iPad
iPad 2
iPad Air
AppleTV Set
Whatever it is Tim said is: "... unknown & not rumored about."

DON'T DESERVE EVENTS
iMac upgrades
iPod upgrades
iPhone 4S
iPhone 5S
AppleTV upgrades
iPad 3
iPad 4
iPad Air 2

See? Save it for something very special & unique, not EVERY flaggin' product!
Again, that way, the events will once again be meaningful.

You guys who want mac minis.. What do you use it for? As your main desktop? Hook up to the tv?

I use mine as my main desktop because I prefer OS X over windows and don't want to hackintosh. I'm not ready to fully switch because I still do a fair bit of windows gaming, so a mac mini and KVM are the best solution.

I just wish they would have held off the :apple:Watch announcement until October and actually released the damn thing this year. I mean I get why it makes sense to make the announcement with the iPhone but 2015? C'mon already.

Ugh.. was considering a new iPad with my iPhone trade in money.. hate getting the generation right before the new ones come out though. 1st world problems and all that...

:apple:

Going to be an expensive 2 weeks. I'm do for an upgrade to I can order my iphone 6+ and I'm in need to upgrade my ipad.

I think I'll skip the new iPad, UNLESS they actually do that iPad Pro thing that has been rumored.

If the iMac gets refreshed at all in October, the best we can hope for is a very minor Haswell processor clock speed bump, along with the inclusion of TB2.

And maybe, just maybe an increase from the barely adequate 128GB of PCIe memory in the Fusion drives, to 256GB, which would make them a more realistic and workable alternative for power users, to the still prohibitively-priced SSD-only option.

Alternatively, Apple could modestly lower prices for these SSD-only options, or instead offer a very minor price cut in the range of $50-$100 for all iMac models across the board, with the exception perhaps of the recently added entry level 21" model.

As far as the Mini is concerned, all bets are off.

I don't know what more I need

I still have my iPad 4, but I just got a MBPr and I love it. I use it all of the time and I use my iPad a lot less. Since I just ordered the iPhone 6, I might actually get to the point where I won't even need the iPad since the iPhone 6 might be big enough to use instead. Time will tell on that one.

I, unfortunately, see the larger screen iPhones doing some cannibalization of the iPad market. That's just a hunch on my part.

I'm stick with the iPad Air until iPad Air launches. I find for what I do on the iPad (consuming media, reading books, writing, general web surfing) I don't need to upgrade the iPad nearly as often. I might just keep it until the iPad Air becomes iOS obsolete, maybe by iOS 11.

If it doesn't have more RAM to hell with this BS upgrade. It's time apple come on update your freakin RAM safari is horrible.
