Who isn't using a case though. Not excusing the design choice by Apple, but I've dropped enough iPhones over the years to know better than to go in the nude.
I'm not using a case. Haven't dropped my phone in a very long time. iPhone is a great looking piece of hardware. Apple pours a great amount of attention into that and you are paying for that when you buy it.

My phones are in cases, because I do drop them or the dogs bump them out of my hand, so the issue doesn't really bother me; however, cases tend to scratch the sides of the phone anyway so I'm getting the white one because not only does it not show fingerprints but silver will hide scratches the best.

Oh boy, the OCD crowd is gonna take this and run with it. There will be a NBC Nightly News segment for sure with Lester Holt interviewing a user furiously polishing their iPhone 15 while crying crocodile tears.

First, I don’t care as its temporary and expected with this material. Second, most people use a case and the 99.999% of people who don’t frequent! “news” sites won’t notice anyway.

My Black Tit version arrived today. Does seem to be a fingerprint magnet, the finish is great though and the reduction in weight is really nice.

Wouldn't dream of carrying this thing around without a case anyway.

So...is this just a thing with the blue/black models? I've only seen these photos going around of the blue one. I went with Natural, so I guess I'll see tomorrow morning.
Very doubtful, although will be more visible on the darker models

Meh big deal. I and 90% of other folks uses cases on their phones. If you don't, then wipe it down with a cleaning cloth and get on with your life.

Well, I don't use a case, just a magsafe wallet. Yes, my iPhone corners have seen better days but I don't really care about reselling value so I prefer to keep my iPhone 12 mini as compact as possible
12 mini doesn’t even count. Minis are just a glorified iPhone 5 and those things were so light they really didn’t need a case . Pro max phones are just plain stupid to use without a case

Didn't the old Titanium PowerBook G4s used to have some discoloration on the frame from prolong use? Thought I remembered the first ones would start to get discolored after a while.

As for my iPhone Pro Max 15, I'll have a silicone cover on it anyhow.

I have a feeling that FineWoven case will be quietly discontinued by Apple next year. They’re probably already working on a way to minimize this issue on the titanium iPhones for next year’s 16 Pro/Pro Max. I don’t see them going back to stainless steel, but another option could be aluminum to maintain the lighter weight if the stains are irritating enough.

"Stains?"

This isn't really a story at all is it? Just wipe the damned thing clean once in a while - just like we all have to clean our iPhone/iPad screens and just like all those in-car touch screens.

TBH, in any case all you left-pondians should be used to seeing fingerprint/oil smears on your nicely blued firearms. 😂🤣

I don't remember my Titanium PowerBook G4 getting discoloration. Maybe because it got so hot it was boiling off the oils. :D

They did have complaints about the titanium Apple Card and IIRC had to issue cleaning instructions.
