I would love to stop paying for DropBox, but iCloud Drive just isn’t quite there yet. I still pay for 2TB for my whole family to store photos, and it’s great for that.
And this is a why:What an embarrassing mess. I know people at Apple work hard and care, but something is very wrong in the software function at Apple.

Inclusion & Diversity

It doesn't matter. Skill or talent is secondary in the decision making at companies that fully commit to the diversity and inclusivity ideology like Apple does. So, you're saying the median Apple engineer lacks skill or talent?

Once low mid and top level management is infested with unqualified personell that got their position to fill a quota or other reasons than skill and talent - these people will see more skilled workers as a threat and do whatever they can to sabotage them - further accelerating the rot.

That is a question you might want to address to Adobe, the company that makes Photoshop. You do understand that Adobe and Apple are different companies, right? Adobe announced something and has yet to deliver. Seems unlikely that anyone would buy an iPad Pro just to use an app that was announced with a ship date about a year in the future. However, anyone who did can try Affinity Photo or Pro Create both saving money and having a better experience that any of Adobe’s products. That’s the new Apple. How’s that photoshop on iPad coming along for all those that bought iPads just for that purpose? Lol
Hmm... a few months later all mentions of "iCloud folder sharing" and "Coming this spring" have been removed from macOS Catalina page (https://www.apple.com/macos/catalina). Previously it was changed from "later this year" to "this spring", so I hope at least they'd get it done by next macOS version - waiting for that Web page already!
TMI: I want this in iCloud too simply because I don't want to rely on/trust another party for my files - Apple is already "in" because these files represent code that will later be submitted for them to review (although indeed in compiled form, for publishing apps to to AppStore). At the moment the code is stored in some private git repo folders on my iCloud account - for backup and "use anywhere" purposes - but I would love to be able to collaborate with a (sometimes remote) colleague, sharing the folder as a common git remote. (Note: macOS Server also discontinued git repos some time ago, so we'd need to configure a custom Web server for git repos, but we'd better use a cloud solution rather than our own server anyway!)
