Never ever going to upgrade from 10.3.3 as 6+ is slow already. iOS 11 brings absolutely nothing I care about, just speed lost. Heck if I could go back to iOS 9 i would...

But wow Apple sure makes it a pain to avoid it, their popup screen kind of hides the NO thanks and pushes the "install it later thanks"

Funny how so manny people have a different experience. I had the battery issue, but its better now. Speed is fine. My daughters 5s she claims is actually faster.

You do know that the "new versions of iOS are deliberately slower" meme has been tested and was found to have no basis in fact :

There can be memory footprint issues in some Apps, but there's precious little fact behind this conspiracy theory.

lol ok, lets see real world usage benchmark scores

sure the processors bench the same but for some reason the iOS needs more horsepower to run

iOS is the buggiest iOS I have ever used. iPhone non responsive often enough that I notice. Hopefully things improve on patches.

52% of devices forced to update because of constant reminders by Apple to update.

This one gets me always... i dunno why,, but users thinking they can make problems go away just by causing bigger problems.. but ya... they'll be those..

Those popups don't really bother me *that* much though....

I️ usually never have (major) bugs with each new OS update, but this time around I️ seem to be getting them all.

I️ got tired of correcting the auto correct bug as well.

For those of you holding out who have a iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, I had upgraded by 7 Plus to iOS 11 with zero issues. No battery issues, just new features. Not all OS upgrades yield a potentially negative experience. Now I'm using the iPhone X also on iOS 11 with no issues after upgrading it to 11.1.
Same.

My 7 was perfectly fine on 11.1, and smooth on the X.

I'm usually quick to adopt the new OS, but I'm still on iOS 10 with an iPhone 7.

I dunno, seems like every update the interface gets worse. Peaked at iOS7.

Also, iTunes is now the fugliest thing and such an annoyance to use on your phone, I really really hate what Apple is doing with their software design.

It would be good if iOS 11 introduced new features and not just new bugs.
It would be good if any part of that statement was factual.

I can't think of any more meaningless boast. Can someone PLEASE explain to me why it matters? Especially when they twist your arm to update until it breaks.
Because everyone wins if more people are on the latest version of the OS. Developers win. Security wins. Users win. Apple wins.

No plans on updating my 2017 iPad to iOS 11 anytime soon. Just wish Apple would stop nagging me every few days to update while I'm in the middle of something and almost make me press Install by accident.

If Apple had a better QA team and slow down on the hard deadlines then maybe people would upgrade quicker? Anything before a .3 version these days is generally buggy or missing promises features.
