This is my opinion is something to do with app development of snapchat and tick-tock only been testing on iPhone 13 models combined with macro automation switching
Completely agree. I really think Apples tightness with hardware and fragmentation of new hardware are making it very difficult for developers to test their software with upcoming systems.
Causing exactly what we are seeing right now. Someone at apple had to assure these developers that the new phone line was nearly identical to the 13 line up, negating the need for hands on development with existing software. But as we all know now this isnt the case.

I hope in the future Apple is more forthcoming with the internal improvements so developers can make accurate and solid programs.
I have a set up on my M1 Mac Mini that allows me to emulate iOS for app development. So I know this is exactly what other developers are experiencing.
Ive been incredibly critical of the new 14 line up. Maybe a little to harsh, maybe a little to vocal about the short comings of Apple as of late.
For that I apologize to everyone working hard for Apple and its partners.

But it seems my speculation has completely had merit.

No.
When you select action mode by default it will choose the 0.5 lens.
You can switch it to the main.
With the 0.5 lens all is superb.
With the main lens it's not good.

And it was the main lens which went hilarious with the procam app so I am worried
If it defaults to the 0.5 then that’s the camera that apple set up for action mode to use with that mode. I would think

I just hope that in 60 days time they get another batch out the door with native fix to prevent this.
Software might fix the cause, but the damage already done will not be fixable in software.
What damage? Unless people keep filming with the vibrations

I just checked. You can do action on all the lenses .5. 1. 2. But it defaults to 0.5 for a reason. It’s better optimized for that. No other reason apple would change it to 0.5 everytime

the only reason they do this is because action mode crops al lot so that it becomes more as a main lens.

I had the issue when i first tried to activate my banking app. No teen apps installed, i opened my banking app, allowed access to camera and i put the phone down to search for my id card, it was a good 30-40 seconds, when i lifted the phone, camera was rattling like crazy.

Anyhow, on a 1500€ device, i should feel comfortable with it not being botched by some stupid apple bug that made the camera OIS “shake, rattle and roll”

Apple better hope it's a software issue or they're going to have a massive recall on their hands.

Some heads will roll if that's the case!
Apple keeps its hardware so secret till launch that developers are just not able to accurately produce software and or updates for the new hardware. Its showing this closed eco systems wall are beginning to crack and fail. Each new iOS is built upon the last. A lot of ancient code still running in iOS. It would be cool if they would just start fresh instead of adding more patchwork to existing code.

I’m sure with update you’ll be fine

Return the phone for a refund and buy the phone in a couple of months when you probably are assured of a working module and software. It’s your hard earned money here!

They also seem to be short of Pros and especially Pro Max models - hum - I’m not going to say anything… Maybe the wait for a replacement is best for your piece of mind. If you don’t have a replacement then keep using the phone until they have them in the store than raise hell about the buzzing and get a “probably” new phone that works.

There won’t be buzzing by then. It will be fixed

Anyone here still experiencing the buzzing problems?

That doesn’t mean there wasn’t any damage. That doesn’t mean that the lifespan of the module was not shortened. All Apple needs is the module to last longer than the warrantee period.

Like defective car engines, as long as it makes it to 60,000 miles (or whatever the warrantee is) there is no problem with the motor - time to buy a new car anyway at 60,000 miles/5 years. That is how they think.

As for the "everyone has to do it to be on youtube" argument, perhaps there are other goals rather than being a video tabloid wannabe in life.
I hope your career is as fulfilling as many of the YouTube’s we watch. Your thoughts on their career choice doesn’t change much for them though.

Oh if you plan on keeping it more than a year yea. But lots trade in every year.

You're sure that the rattling, which has already been demonstrated to cause permanent damage to the camera, will be fine after a software update? You're sure?
Where has it been shown to cause permanent? Lol a YouTube video where they let it rattle for minutes upon minutes.

No one has posted any damage from it as of yet.

I wouldn’t take an app that doesn’t know the mechanics of the iPhone as a source. Also if anyone has the jittering snd after the update its not fixed then replace the phone.

Most here got it once or few times and haven’t seen it happen again.

Which part is incorrect?

Yes, on the YouTube video they showed that it permanently damaged the camera. Because it did permanently damage the camera.

So again, how are you sure it's going to be fine after a software update? There are still conflicting sources as to what the cause is in the first place, so I wouldn't be telling people you're sure it'll be fine after an update. Your wishful thinking wants for it to be fine after an update, but anyone who has experienced the issue, your phone is inside the 14 day return window. Return it.
