It takes time for the chicks to come home to roost, especially with a company this big and powerful. But as they lose the mind share of people like us here at macrumors, it will eventually become a critical mass ... and by then, it will be too late.
In other words, everything will look hunky dory for Apple for a while ... until it doesn't.
they are roosting now, Apple stock valuation tanking. Shareholders are ******** their pants.

This will get sorted in a class action. Hope it starts soon. When it does I’m in.

Apples audacity to charge what they are for the iPad Pro and have the gall to tell me I should accept a device with flawed aesthetic is over the top even for them.

What this means is their manufacturing process is still broken, they couldn’t scale for launch so pushed them out, it was never in control or stable, not fIxable in the foreseeable future, they can’t rework returned devices, and financial impact of accepting returns for flawed units is bigger than what they are willing to take on.

Apples prior claims about its flawless products, putting them out when it’s ready, and Jony being pedantic and waxing poetic about his designs in videos just adds ammo to the class.

Well I don’t see the problem. If I would buy one, which has a bend, I would just return it. No problem at all. Who will keep it for 14 days and return it later?
But suppose you don't live in the EU which has tough consumer laws and let's say the owner develops a bend or two a couple of months after the return period is over. What then? Now that person is stuck with a bent iPad Pro they spent at minimum $799. Now they are looking at a bent chassis and they can't get an exchange from Apple without a fight because they say it's normal and part of the process.

That's a tough pill to swallow if you are an owner outside the EU because it's going to be tough to unload it another an individual and resellers are not going to give you a lot of money for a trade because word is out these iPad's can bend on their own. So that person is stuck selling it back to the likes of Apple, Amazon or Best Buy in the USA.

Perfect timing. I have been hovering about replacing my 10.5 20117 iPad Pro and this has made my mind up to stick with it, at least till the next model is out.
I received a 27" iMac with a chunk out of the side last month.
Where is quality control these days? Nobody cares now.

Ironically enough, I just plotted the 5y AAPL in Jupyter Notebook. . .

Thsnkfully my 11” iPad Pro is as flat as a pancake. Aside from the camera bump.

Tell that to the 'Brexiteers' in the UK next year.............

Lol guys come on! if you keep buying anything with an apple logo can't blame Tim for squeezing that penny. Hope those who got it bent face a solution though.

What are you complaining about? Apple is known as a low-end product maker that sells poorly-designed but functional products with limited life-spans at bargain prices! You simply expect, when you order from a budget company like Apple, that you won't get the premium experience; you get things that bend, or where microphones stop working after software updates, or keyboards that barely have any movement and fail due to tiny amounts of dust, or overheat, or are fugly as heck; the upside being that you simply replace the device every year or so. I mean, that's what Apple is all about, right?

You're on the wrong side of this one, pal. Use your relentless defense of Apple on an issue where defending them actually makes sense.

I’m not your pal, buddy. Because I don’t relentless defend Apple from anything. Like your interpretation of my post, this is a huge miss on their part.

Waiting for the class action lawsuit where picture-straighteners sue Apple for their psychiatric medical expenses...
