well. looks like mail has gotten worse. its unresponsive to mouse clicks and just quits without actually closing its window.
Not an issue with me, Apple gave me an avenue to "fix" this just the way I like - via a keyboard shortcut that I can use far faster than hunting for a little green widget (pressing Control-Z to execute the Window>Zoom Command, as I've posted in MR before), or via an application named XtraFinder. I'm still surprised at how many others are popping a nut over this - I moved on years ago.I have been surprised that nothing has been done about it. A quick google search will prove that it is an issue for many.
Haha just said the same. Why is UK so behind
There is actually one guy on this forum who is in Greenland.
Am I the only one where AirDrop doesn't work?
Using mpbmid 14 with latest pb and ip6 with latest io9 beta. Can't find any of my devices with airdrop.
Installed OS X El Cap beta 5 last night on my Late 2013 MacBook Pro and now I'm experiencing periodic internet disruption. I'm using an 802.11ac Apple AirPort Extreme set to 5GHz to connect my MacBook Pro which is also equipped with 802.11ac. When my connection goes away on the El Cap b5 MacBook Pro I open up AirPort Utility and it shows a yellow dot by my AirPort Extreme for a few seconds then usually the connection goes back green and my connection to the internet resumes. This happened multiple times last night as I had an iPad continuously streaming video from Hulu on the same connection. I think it's fairly safe to say something is going on with the Wi-Fi drivers in El Cap b5 or possibly the drivers working on 802.11ac 5GHz. This was not a problem for me on El Cap betas 2 through 4 although I did once have it drop from the 5GHz network to the 2.4GHz network on its own. I will try re-adding the adapter and network in Network preferences a little later to see if this clears it up.
He's in the Mac Pro forum. He has a slow metered connection.I'm from Greenland my self, live in Norway. May I ask whom?

Here is a quote from today's MacDailyNews:
"Full screen drives me nuts because you are locked into it then and takes a second or so to go into it and come out of it. Being able to resize windows on every side helps with that now, but I’d still like to see the green button work to fill the screen and not go full screen like it works now. The best option would be to let the user choose how they want to use it and have a pref setting somewhere."

Thanks again. I used the terminal command for this as I am not able to use the Finder (and go to library/preferences). Unfortunately, this didn't help either. Really weird. I guess I have to use Windows 10 for the moment to write my Master thesis :S Thanks again! The following solution might help, keep in mind though that all your Finder settings are reset to defaults.
Delete the following file: Finder.plist which is located in: ~/Library/Preferences
~ = your User folder
* Better copy the file to your desktop first, then delete the original, if it didn't work put it back.
** You have to logout and back in again for it to work, actually relaunching the Finder should also work.

Did you do a clean install or an upgrade? Create a boot stick, clean install and see if the problem repeats itself.
I think some folks have an aversion to keyboard shortcuts. They're so used to clicking/tapping on an icon it just seems to much trouble to learn something new. Even if that learning is simple as two quick key strokes.
Mail now crashes. Help!
Reason according to logs: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSUnknownKeyException'
Yeah, mine does the same now. Maddening. I have removed/added all the accounts and it seems to be my Gmail account that triggers this. It's been fine on all prior betas though. Weird one.

Since we're all doing it apparently: This was while setting on my roof terrace connected to Wi-Fi (AirPort Extreme). I prefer Dutch ISPs over British personally.I don't know UK isn't that bad, below is an image from tethering my phone to the macbook pro:

And this is an image from my provider and this was all while streaming a youtube video (both tethered and via network)

The update to the Recovery Partition fixed my issue!I have a dozen of them, they don't unmount by clicking on the eject button
