As someone who uses BT audio all day switching between my iMac at work, iPhone, and iPad Pro at home—I'm really glad they took my suggestion of making it faster to switch audio sources in Control Center. In this new update, it looks like there's a little icon on the corner of the now playing panel that you can tap to change audio sources.

From the release notes:

The “Messages in iCloud” feature has been removed in iOS 11 beta 5 and will ship in a future software update to iOS 11. Users can continue to receive and store messages on each device, and they can continue to backup and restore messages using iCloud Backup.

Been waiting for them to fix this. Was hoping it would be in the new beta. Instead they remove the feature altogether for now. Well played Apple, well played...

I’m unable to install Apple's own non-mandatory apps on both iPhone 7 and iPad Pro 10.5”. The iPhone is restoring a back-up as I wanted to free up space taken by the 'System' storage bug that has carried over from Beta 4, but this is worse because I now can’t access the majority of the stock apps.

I tried downloading an Apple app I don’t have (Home) on the iPad and it states that it is unable to install, so it doesn’t seem as though it’s isolated to the iPhone, and as far as I can tell, it looks like the only way around it for the time being is by setting up as new.

Does that only show up after connecting to AirPods for the first time?

Wonder if they have fixed the DONE button when you have taken a screenshot on the 7p

Hopefully. That issue affects other phone models too.

Frankly, it's only one example of the touch issues, including fundamental text selection in apps like Numbers and Notes.

I'm not sure—I saw that on 9to5Mac and for some reason haven't seen the OTA update yet. That would be pretty lame though if it's only for AirPods users, but I do have AirPods. Anyway, maybe I need to go reinstall my developer profile.

I'm surprised and unimpressed that it has taken them this many years to devise a solution for such an obvious feature.

Better that it be done right than it be done quickly. Presumably they ran into some corner cases and they don't want to release another half-assed cloud feature until they get it working right.

Does anyone know if they meant removed only during the beta, or if the final shipping version will not have iMessages in iCloud? I was planning to get the new iPhone this fall, and do a clean install (AFTER uploading all iMessages to iCloud).

Probably my most annoying bug is this:

Just finished updating, and have already found a new bug. For some reason the lock screen will not show my wallpaper, just a time and date against a black background.
Heh, I would never notice that because my wallpaper IS a black background. :)

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why brightness and volume controls are vertical? When I want to turn either quickly I end up moving with control center instead. Why on earth are they not laid out horizontally?

Also, why can't we have night shift toggle in control center? Sometimes I want to see accurate colors and need to go deep into settings to turn it off and after a while turn it back on.

FYI: I've suggested both of these already.

You should be able to add night shift to the screen. . . There are a host of options for adding extra buttons in Settings.

Long-tap or 3d-touch the brightness control to bring up options for night-shift and True Tone (on devices that support it).
