Is OpenVPN itself broken on the beta? In private internet access VPN the IPSec setting works but it breaks when switching to the openvpn setting.

Ya since beta 1 it’s been broken for me and several others. I use OpenVPN for ProtonVPN service. I can connect to a server no problem but as soon as I switch out from the OpenVPN app it disconnects. I talked to OpenVPN and they’re aware. I thought it might be an issue on their end but they said it wasn’t . They’ve contacted Apple about it and they’re waiting for them to address the bug. Hopefully next beta but since it’s been angling since beta 1 I’m not holding my breath.

I'm hesitating about updating to ios 12 from 10.3.

Count yourself lucky that you have 10.3 & wait until after 12 goes gold - and the general consensus from owners of your model of iPhone that it performs well on it.

iOS 12 beta is definitely just that atm - a beta. It’s buggy.

And if you do ‘upgrade’ from 10.3, there’s no way back to it as Apple won’t sign 10.3 even if you have the file on your Mac - you’ll be on 11.4.1.

Trust me, you don’t want to go there after 10.3.

It looks like iOS 12, tvOS 12 and podOS 12 will ship without multiple user support. Again. How is that possible? Even if they can’t manage to switch accounts based on voice, they should at least be able to offer a manual option.

I don’t want my family to mess up my Apple Music.

My iPhone 6S plus crashes (black screen with white circle spinner in the center) about 8 times a day so I hope that this build fixes whatever is going on.

The biggest problem I have encountered is that song shuffle does not work - it shuffles two songs and then switches to the top of the playlist and starts playing songs in order. I have heard A-Ha's Take Me On far too many times now.
I'm using Public Beta on iPhone 6S+, and I don't see any random crashes...
Only crashing issue I face is with Office Lens App where it doesn't open.

Apart from that, at times my car's USB dock sometimes act strange and wont skip/forward tracks on music from the steering controls, but shuffle works well.

I can confirm, latest public beta runs very smooth on my 6S Plus. Stable and fast, better than any of 11.X

When was this feature ever promised?

I do hope they have fixed the Affiliate Links via the App Store.

None of the links I use register (but do link) in iOS 12 via Safari twitter etc.

Surprised all the Devs haven’t kicked up a fuss!

As an update, installing Developer Build 5 when I got home last night fixed the music shuffle issue on my iPhone 8.

In fact I’m super envious of you. My iPhone 7 was great with 10.x.

Disaster struck when the slow motion car crash of 11.x begun. Things are way more stable with 11.4.1 except the battery life just doesn’t feel as good as it ever did with 10.x (I’m at 87% battery).

In fact, so badly is my trust dented in Apple over this, that I’m upgrading to 12 when it’s live (and people say that it’s good on the 7) simply to get off 11 - not because I actively want to get 12.

Just installed PB3 on my 10” iPad Pro. Crazy fast and stable, for a beta.

Well done! I’m actually digging the new swipe gestures, such as swiping up to go home, or doing the inverted-U swipe across the bottom to switch apps quickly. Also, swiping down from the upper-right for CC is a non-issue, totally intuitive now.

Same! Only bug I run into is when I check my cellular data usage. The “page” keeps reloading and going to the top when I scroll down. Does that happen to you?

Running the prior beta on my iPad Pro 12.9” and have had no issues.

Yes, that happens to me on beta 3 and 4. I reported the problem to Apple and hopefully this version fixes that.
