It's funny how they release these huge 1 gig updates instead on 100 MBs ones and yet they fix s***.

Updates usually means an upgrade to overall performance.

Really not mad at these quick updates from Apple.

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm so excited to get the cheese wedge emoji. o_O

Don't get me wrong, I always look forward to iOS patches/upgrades, but it seems weird that a handful of food based emoji keep making the highlight reel of what's coming in 9.1.

Hi folks - I'm a public beta tester (my wife loves it when I 'brag' about being a beta tester - she's always like, "You are??!!"

Anyway, is anybody else having Spotlight problems? Every build, I swipe left and often I do get options, BUT the search is bad. It just waits and waits and wait. I usually have to go straight to Safari or Chrome to actually search. I've modified my Spotlight preferences so that it'll only search the most important apps. I have a lot of contacts and 7 email addresses being fetched. Overall, I love 9.1, but I'm not loving Spotlight not working consistently enough. Help!

If that's how you like to impress the wife. Pmdifferent folks, different pokes..

Thumbs up for a huge file. Means lots of changes.

It actually doesn't mean anything. Apple is simply choosing to push a full OS update instead of a delta update. It could mean they're not confident that their current patching system is capable of doing delta updates.

When Emojis are features in a changelog it means something is terribly wrong.

Changelog by definition means a log of all changes made. Apple simply updated their emoji standard to the latest 8.0 version with some custom ones, they're not doing anything to market this feature on top of everything else, the media and the public are the ones making a big deal out of this. Why are they doing it, no one knows but it is the only visible-facing change in 9.1.

What's this about separate build numbers for developer and public? I'm on public and had/have 13B136 for PB4. Was that special for 4, where they weren't different? Confused...

They always had separate build numbers. However, many people here have switched between the developer and public beta profiles, so if you've done something like that to switch to the developer profile, you're on the developer update channel.

I'm noticing more subtle performance and stability improvements in each update and these are just full patches instead of delta patches, it doesn't mean it comes with a lot of changes.

Well it seems MR was incorrect. I am on public build and new build is 13B137.

Is there a trick to getting this to pop up? The last few beta releases have been the same way. It says iOS 9.1 is up to date. I end up having to wait late into the evening for it to grab it.

Also, is it possible to do OTA on AT&T LTE?

Is anybody else missing the feedback app? Or more importantly: Does anyone know how to get it back? Mine went away when I went from the 9.0 beta to the 9.1 beta.

I'd like to tell them that the icons in the update section of the app store are just grey squares, but I cant.

One question about Publican Beta... If the final iOS 9.1 build release to public, would it better to do fresh install with no restore backup or OTA would be good enough for good performance.
