Using free email services for business?

I have been using Apple's mail services for years.

But iCloud is out. Again. No service for many users. Can't log in.

Is your suggestion that I quit using Apple's email and other services for my work?

Because that is really sounding like a wise suggestion at this point.

testing this for you, let me know if the test is valid though.
latest beta (5th)
plug mechanical HD to a SATA to USB-C converter and plug in USB-C in the MacBook Pro 2016 15"
doing a brand new time machine backup. (about 180gb to backup).
would that recreate the issue theoretically?
ok, tested and worked perfectly, and at the full speed of transfer (no hick ups, or waits/stops etc).

make fun of windows all we want, but at least you could push a windows machine to its limits and it would still work. I've jumped ship to apple due to a Microsoft's all computers left behind philosophy. what I've found is Mac OS doesn't like to be pushed.. aka spinning up all cores for serious work.

What do you mean happens to a computer running MacOS when doing this compared to one (the same?) running Windows and doing the same thing?

Great. Specific details about emojis. Vagueness about "bug fixes and performance improvements". This is one "news" item that could have been skipped.

I know Apple is not good at software anymore, but 5 betas for an update where the major focus is emojis?? In the OS category, they are dumb.

Probably because emojis aren't the main thing. And what's the issue with betas? They are working on things, so why would it be strange? Maybe they are making more of the ones that are typically internal available externally compared to before.

Battery seems not fixed, as the AMD is still sucking 10W even though the integrated is currently active.

What exactly are you looking for?

I think what s/he meant was people (including me) do not give a c**P of emojis! I personally do need a software to translate the emoji to proper language.

Try send your boss or banker an email with emojis and see what you will get.

So apple please spend the talent on somethings 'pro' and solid, such as fixing the bugs and make things better. We really do not give a f**k about emojis, at least not until Apple starts to do their earnings in emojis.

"Apple has also updated the artwork on many existing emoji, adding detail and design elements to make them look less cartoonish and more realistic."

Wasn't this referred to as skeuomorphism????

means the apple cries, pouts and runs in a corner. apple machines cannot handle intensive cpu tasks. a medium to heavy work load causes the machine to burp and lock up or freak out . apple tech support verified this, as my mini nor my 2015 15inch MacBook Pro could handle any serious video or photo editing with out big burp... and crash. was told nothing too serious, as unless you go to the 3000+ dollar machines your sol!! windows never crashed... under load... regardless of build make and spec, and thats 20+ years of being as windows user.

Let me help you out. For you the solution is easy. If you don't like emojis, simply don't use them. Is someone holding a gun on you demanding that you use emojis?

There any many people, especially those who are younger, or, not so deadly serious about life, who like them. Please understand Apple is writing an OS for all of its customers, and not just you. There are many macOS features, perhaps dozens, I don't need or use. For example, at the moment I do not have a need for Apple's accessibility features - though I do understand other's like and depend on them and I applaud Apple for spending time on that.

From your post and the language you use, you seem angry with what Apple is doing. Why do you give a tech company so much power over your life?

Emojis are just a small aspect of the OS and has absolutely nothing to do with my question: What exactly are you looking for with respect to OS features for the working professional?

Since you weighed in, why are you obfuscating and not answering the question? It's not that tough.

macOS Sierra 10.12.2 includes new emoji, introducing Unicode 9 characters like clown face, selfie, face palm, fox face, owl, shark, butterfly, avocado, bacon, and more, plus many profession emoji are available in both male and female genders.

What a pathetic excuse of an update.
The past 6-12months have been the worst in Apples recent history, by far.

I'd like to think they're cleaning up bugs and making the OS or efficient. But when all that's mentioned is the emoji's it almost feels like Apple is mocking people who actually want to use their macs for heavy processing tasks (you know ... 'pro' stuff).

Who cares about updating copy paste or apple mail...MORE EMOJI'S....YEAH.....Teens will love this.
So glad Apple is right on top of what people really need and want.....wow.

Oh, the beloved memory leaks. We had that once in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. It seems like Apple is fixing bugs that were once fixed. History is repeating. But they have this memory compression feature now - that costs you only some performance.
They better clean those up since ram is limited and can't be upgraded!

Pretty sure iOS and macOS have had quite a bit more than emojis. But there's certainly a fascinating obsession that some have with the little things.

This update appears to resolve the battery issues described in prior article for me (4-5 hrs under NO load in foreground or background and hot underside). Was getting really frustrated yesterday when I burned through 100% in 3 hours under heavy load. Have been using now for light browsing for 40 minutes and it hasn't even dropped from 100%, estimate ~8.5 hours and the computer is finally cool to the touch under light load.

Mine literally doubled. Was getting like 4 hours on the last seed and now getting 8.5-9ish

What configure do you have? I have a 15" tb 2.9/1TB/460 and I lost about 4% is 15minutes.

I see the time remaining on the battery is still gone. Annoying.

How is this not a bigger freaking deal!?? This means Apple has removed a core, longstanding feature of MacOS/OSX in the name of silencing people who are claiming poor battery life with their new MacBook Pros...
[doublepost=1480989394][/doublepost]
It's working for me.

You have the latest beta and it shows estimated time remaining? Post a screenshot
