If Apple doesn't sneak in a iOS 9 DP 5 in this week like hey have right now for El Cap. The most likely date for iOS 9 DP 5 is next week. (Since it "normally is two weeks and it's been one so far since 4.)

As evidenced today, there is no normal...

Maybe it's in my head, I play Dota 2. It seems far more playable then it used to be on my integrated graphics MacBook Pro. It was a fairly unscientific test...

You probably just started up your bootcamp partition and ran the game through Windows... thats really the only way to improve frame rates in games.

Games won't use Metal unless coded to use it. And no game has been updated to use it yet. So strange you would see a dramatic improvement in games already.
Maybe it's the "Safari feels snappier effect" to be honest. I was talking about Dota 2, it used to run like **** but I haven't tried it in a long time so it could be improvements on the game itself and not just 10.10 vs 10.11. Sorry very unscientific of me...

That's why I said "if Apple doesn't sneak in a DP 5 for iOS this week like they just did with OS X."

Obviously today isn't normal. But normal for iOS would place iOS 9 DP 5 next week and not in two weeks from now.

There is no "normal" two week schedule. It just so happens it has been every two weeks in the iOS 9 cycle so far, check out the cycles for iOS 7.0 and 8.0 to see how it varies.

it's in software update... anyways there's no schedule for this, especially the DP versions, those will only increase in frequency as it nears release. the public beta however might get a more controlled release schedule.

There's been a rather troublesome issue with Exporting content from either Compressor or FCPX, and it will randomly not export. I'll edit this post if it turns out to be resolved.

This is needed tbh. OS X El Capitan beta 1 and 2 were great on my retina Mac: no graphical glitches, very fluid, and apart from small bugs, it was very stable. I immediately upgraded from Yosemite which I pretty much hated along its life cycle due to many persistent bugs (slow UI, Wi-Fi issues, etc).

With the introduction of beta 3, it felt like I was back on an early beta of Yosemite with more features. Dock glitching, screen flickering on boot, finder sidebar doesn't remember size or positioning, just a huge mess. Beta 4 fixed some bugs yet completed destroyed the frame buffer. I couldn't even look at images in preview in full screen without a dark big horizontal block showing up on the left side of the screen, every single time.

I don't even know whether Apple are actively testing what they put out, but these last two betas have been a huge regression. It's been so bad that if beta 2 had been the GM of El Capitan (hypothetically), it would be a fantastic release.

You're right there is no "normal". Just in more recent times 2 weeks seemed to be the most likely. Honestly I would love an update every week. Rather than waiting 2-3 weeks just so the "list of changes" is bigger.

Wonder what bug was so big they had to release a new update so fast.

I personally have been experiencing the following:
* The Finder resize display issue someone else mentioned
* JPGs and PNGs not properly being recognized (Cannot do quick look, won't open in Preview, dropping them into messenger does send the file but doesn't show inline for me)
* Issues with folder icons in Applications (and elsewhere) not showing (showing as blank with the folder name underneath). Have occasionally seen this files on my Desktop as well

Agreed, I would prefer the Microsoft Windows 10 Insider approach of many builds with minor changes more frequently, that way major problems (like horrific battery drain or no Apple Music) can be fixed quicker.

Facebook's comment moderation page wasn't working with B4, it works now.
Stocks plugin still broken (works only when connected to VPN)
They've fixed Weather plugin's icon/name in Location Services settings page
Activity monitor titles fixed

One little bug I hate is still here, I can't drag and drop images from Safari to Photoshop or Mail

lagwagon,

Greetings.

It seems to be the case after I resize it and it stays the way I want now :)

Yay! What about the tabs in the Activity Monitor and About This Mac getting cut off and showing a couple letter and then "..." Instead of the full tab name?

NVM. Above poster mentioned it fixed.
