I'm still getting the beach ball on this beta... it's relentless. Overall, everything is much zippier on my rMB, but for some reason it keeps hanging up on something. I can't wait until the official version is out so I can do a clean install...
Weird that public is before dev now![]()
Not to mention gamers, who have to move their mouse around a lot as a matter of course. It's pretty annoying to play most games with this "feature" enabled.Handy for those with Parkinsons disease who hated having the cursor go all 'RoidRagey.
It's more than that. I routinely have performance issues when opening apps, opening the password dialog box, and a bunch of other things. There's a 10 second lag or so before any of these finish loading and I can interact with the interface. I have no idea what's causing it, but it isn't new to El Capitan (no, it isn't due to my 2015 rMBP's storage).Just bear in mind Windows doesn't do full animations when windows are opening or minimising. There's a fade in and fade out in the middle of the animation that makes animations appear very quick. OSX actually does animate every frame of the scaling and zooming animations.

I think the latest exploit forces Apple to release El Capitan a bit earlier than planned.

Even though the cursor is hidden, it's still there. Often the rapid movement of a FPS causes this feature to trigger, revealing its hidden position, which obviously gets old after awhile. What kind of game features rapid mouse movement yet has a cursor? For the former, first-person shooters come to mind, but they don't have a cursor. For the latter, real-time strategy games, but I don't see myself doing rapid circular movements in those.
As far as I am aware, the Public Beta 5 release was pulled and has not been reissued.I'm a little bit confused here, I take it apple released the public beta then pulled it , then i heard it was released again. but it's not showing up for me, so is it officially pulled until further notice ?
I'm trying to figure out based on these comments.
Thanks

Is anyone else having sleep/wake problems? Since the first Beta, my MBA refuses to wake from sleep and auto-reboots. I mostly experience this in clamshell mode.

My iMac won't wake from sleep (if it has slept more than 12 hours). Has to be forcibly powered off and rebooted.
Yet this pulled public beta has new things the developer one doesn't have at this point as demonstrated in the original article. But somehow the public beta is still behind the developer one? It's not. It's behind. Just on a different release schedule.

Ok maybe its just me, but I don't really have a problem finding my mouse. Not sure exactly who this "feature" is aimed at.Also adds an option to disable shake mouse pointer to locate. I will post if I find more.

As you get older, you'll appreciate it more.Ok maybe its just me, but I don't really have a problem finding my mouse. Not sure exactly who this "feature" is aimed at.
I am older, but I can still see the mouse without having it wiggle in my face like fish bait...lolAs you get older, you'll appreciate it more.
I find that the default cursor is too small for my aging eyes, and even though I've set it for a slightly larger size I sometimes can't see where I left it on the screen. So that feature is a big help for me.
