iOS 10 introduced to me extra steps to do the same task, poor user experience, bugs, bugs, bugs, slower performance, poor battery life etc so when I see an article about a new update I immediately read what's new in hopes some of these issues are addressed. This time it was "new emojis" which sums up pretty much Apple's approach to iOS since iOS 7, you gotta keep them 16 yo girls buying iPhones. I'm seriously disappointed at Apple. iPhone is probably still the best phone in the market but if so very marginally, they are messing things up big time.
There quite a bit more to this update than new emojis. (take a look at post# 1 for summary)

When you first turn your headset on, does iOS/AirPlay grab the device and start playing Notification/Alert tones through it (with nothing coming from the phone speaker)?
It has been since iOS 10 as far as I remember. So if not wearing headset the entire time you will not hear the notification sounds.

Wondering now if they fixed that issue of keyboard sounds settings applying to the Calculator app keys and the selector wheel in various apps and various drop down menus.
Nope calculator still clicks with keyboard turned off.

10.2 doesn't appear on my software update. I resigned on the Beta Program and still no update, I had no problem when I installed 10.1 beta. I did however install 10.1.1, is this the reason? Let me know, thanks.

I disliked the keyboard clicks on the selector wheel and the charging chime. Everybody has different likes. :)
It's a bit odd that they would connect the charging chime to keyboard clicks as it's not really related. But I'm glad that they seemingly fixed the related things that didn't work right before, like the selector wheel and Calculator buttons.

Hmm...someone else said that was fixed. Weird. What about the selector wheel clicks?

I'm not sure why Apple hasn't provided dark mode for iOS. Most seem to think Apple will never implement dark mode. I would truly appreciate this feature. I still think it's a future possibility. I believe Apple TV has a dark mode.

How would you go about implementing it though, or how would you like it to be seen. Apple TV darkens the menu so its not overly bright at night. macOS darkens the dock and menu bar to match dark wallpapers. Neither of which could be done on iOS. There is no consistent way to implement a dark mode. You can darken the layout of some apps but that is it. C DM has been the only one to suggest something, such as starting with inverse colors and go from there. But that wouldn't work for Safari.

Not sure if an issue for anyone else (or mentioned already) but they fixed the number alignment bug in Apple Music if you had 'Artist feat. Artist' in the applicable field in iTunes.

Slowly trying to clean iOS 10 up I guess.

*Adds camera preservation settings*

FINALLY! I'm so freaking happy!

*Leaves out HDR preservation setting*

WHY APPLE WHY??!?

Oh…floating sparkly liquid crystal blobs… *eyes glaze over*

Your correct. I don't exactly have a full understanding on how Apple would implement Dark Mode. I was aware of inverse colors, which somewhat applies, but isn't truly Dark Mode either. Obviously it's been a topic of discussion many times on here and others have asked if it would happen. Like I stated before, I would appreciate this feature, but certainly not a priority setting I need for future iOS updates.

Same exact situation here, on a 7 Plus.
Its not public beta yet only Dev. Do either of you have the Dev profile installed? If not that's why you are not being offer the beta.

I think maybe he misread the part about the silent/vibrate switch. And apparently I am having a brain freeze, what selector wheel?

Those that are there when setting time or dates or that come up when using a drop down menu that has various selections on a web site somewhere.

I'd like those wallpapers if they were 'live' and I don't mean like Apple 'Live' where you have to tap and hold the screen to get the 'Live' effect.... that was just a fail IMO.

The battery drain of the dynamic wallpapers is much higher than live or still wallpapers.

Duh, ok yeah those follow the keyboard click switch setting now. However when on its extremely low volume. Maybe Calculator is an app issue then.

So they got the selector "wheel" fixed up, and added in the somewhat unrelated charging tone to be controllable via the keyboard sounds setting, but still didn't get the Calculator app keys...go figure.

Shocking that PB is out so quickly. Why not just combine DP and PB at this point.
I think they've kind of been doing them both pretty much at the same time for a number of recent betas now.

Yes. 10.1 and 10.2. So if they are doing them at the same time now, might as well combine them.

Yeah, it has been like this since at least iOS 9 (maybe iOS 8; sheeesh, so many bugs I can't remember). I filed a radar against the behavior, got "works as intended". I humbly disagreed with the "intended" behavior but got no where. I was hoping that they'd at least "fix" it such that AirPlay respects the state of the toggle. If I deselect a Bluetooth device, it should not reselect it upon next connection. And allow voice audio to be overridden by the Accessibility Settings. Buuuuuut, no success moving Apple thus far.

FWIW, it affects some BT car system users too, since some systems don't play BT audio from the iPhone unless the BT Source is selected. So the iPhone, paired to the car's headunit, connects when the car is turned on… and then all Notification/Alert audio from the iPhone goes into a black hole at the headunit as long as BT isn't selected. Messages… Notifications… Maps navigation commands… --> black hole. And then the car owners flip out.

I had a similar issue with BT in the car whereby wasnt hearing notifications and realized when connected to BT it would not play. Cant really remember but I thought that got corrected at some point. I will have to test that again in car. But def my headset does that now.

Guess just in case some catastrophic issue pops up they have a day or so warning without the ton of public users having it and they can deal with it easier.
