Those wallpapers make me think of the Sony Ericsson logo.
I remember needing an adapter to use normal headphones on those phones too.

I'm sure there were some even more similar wallpapers too, but I can't find them now.

The comma did not work. But I did the '1234' and it switched back to 'ABC' on 10.1.1.

Regardless the address bar bug is still present in 10.1.1 and 10.2
When you type more than one character using the "123" keyboard and then use a space it will work fine, it's just that from the beginning of iOS 10 there has been a bug with it not working in Safari when only one character is used (like a comma) followed by a space. A bug that has finally been fixed in iOS 10.2 it seems.

So in Safari, in a text field on a web page, like let's say the reply text field here at MRF, if you are typing "Hi, how are you?" are you saying that when you switch to the "123" keyboard to type that comma and then press space the keyboard changes back to "ABC" on its own so that you can just go on with typing "how..."?

The address bar doesn't change back since that's the intended behavior. A comment box? Yes it does change back as it's supposed to in 10.2.

I think they fixed the wrong thing in 10.0.3/10.1 because the address bar changed back lol. Now in 10.1.1/10.2 the address bar does not change back and in 10.2 text box does. Finally. Everything is all sorted out.

It seems like the address/search bar has been going back and forth a bit, although I would say the text entry fields on the pages themselves are the more important ones when it comes to this kind of thing. Thankfully that seems to have been addressed in 10.2.

To be honest, I want the address bar to behave the same as the text boxes. Consistency

I think the only reason why it acts that way is because you typically don't use punctuation in the text bar. But I completely get what you mean.

I wouldn't mind that either, but it seems the frequency of that kind of thing coming up when just typing random text is somewhat higher compared to URLs and searches.

Do you usually put a space after the punctuation? I can't imagine a scenario unless it's a tech doc or something.
Probably more like numbers and text, and in this particular case perhaps number and text (since it seems like it worked if more than a single character is used).

Talk to me after you get chased by Bozo tonight. The threat is real.
ha can see it now "Bozo the clown chased the kiddies after their candies tonight. Bgro was able to get away after a long chase salvaging his haul of goods. Tune in at 11 for details"

So if you go to Google and in the search box on Google type a comma and then immediately hit the space bar it returns to 'abc' automatically on iOS 10.1.1? If you type two characters then hit the space bar, it works as designed. But one character, such as a comma or the number 1 and then hit space.

Not working in 10.1.1 Its the same as it was with having to do 2 digits. In the Hi, blah blah example same as before have to manually change back to abc after the comma.

Can someone with the beta tell me if they fixed this bug: Go to the health app and select medical ID, tap on edit and set height as 5'2". On iOS 10.1.1 it will not change and stays on 5'1".

Please let me know!

It works for me on 10.1.1.

I am simply sick of all these updates. It's completely absurd and would be unnecessary if apple knew how write good and dependable code. But it's bug after bug after bug. The only beneficiary of this is this board as it gives all of you loads to moan and groan about. But for us regular users, it's a nightmare. Spending day after day updating all my devices and then discovering that a new bug was introduced that will require another update. If Steve were still alive, this wouldn't be happening. I'm going to buy a pc and the new pixel phone right now. I'm done with apple forever.
Get a grip. Windows rolls out a crapload of annoying updates every week and usually tries to restart at the worst possible time and iOS was receiving just as many updates when Steve was alive. Don't get a Pixel though, it gets updates too... pick another Android maker that never updates the software and leaves all the security hole wide open... then you'll be happy right?

THANK GOODNESS. I was driven mad by this issue since iOS 10. A good reason to upgrade to 10.2 beta, that's for sure.

Software is hard! And this THE Operating System!

I'd love weekly updates, all the minor changes and tweaks they they find. It's barely any effort to click that button to update my device. Actually, that's probably what we've gotten updates every 7-10 days since the release.

If we weren't getting updates, that would be the problem...

Sorry if it's already been posted but on the iPhone 7 does the App Switcher still jump when you enable it?

More than likely. It's supposed to due to the new animations. It's not jumping so much as it thinks you're going to the Home screen. So when you press the Home button once, the screen moves down. And then when you hit it a second time, it goes back up to the Task Switcher. This is unlikely to change. That's why you don't see this phenomenon when you're already on the Home screen, and invoke the Task Switcher.

Good luck on Android or Windows Phone. Those two operating systems are so stable they never need to be updated ever... oh wait... hmmmmm.....

A multi-platform user myself, the only one I found to be the most dependable, reliable and stable is BlackBerry OS 10.

(I hope they license it to other folks or open source it)
