As a parent I'm extremely concerned that Apple has introduced the clown emoji. Why get rid of the gun emoji and then introduce another that has recently signified violence and what some would call terrorism. Apple is sending mixed messages imo and it's just another reason that they are doomed.

How long has the headphone symbol been appearing in the title bar?

lol and you dont see thats a glitch? the animation of the wallpaper is on older devices the same. but on these, the wallpaper animation starts and ends at the same time as the app animation. on the iphone 7 the wallpaper animation has a delay.
i think i have told you everything about it. no chance anymore to call it a different animation. of course, its in some case different, because its glitchy :D
I just test what that video did and even though I seen it in the video, my phone does not do that. I have the iPhone 7 plus. But in the end I would careless about that. Lol just me I guess.

Perhaps because nothing really has been happening and it's just some people getting caught up in some made up hype?

You have to slow down the animation to really see it. Its 6 frames at 60fps, so its .1 second of animation. If you aren't looking you can't see it. Also depends on your wallpaper. If its a solid wallpaper you will miss it.

You've got to be kidding me. The animation is longer. The wallpaper actually zooms in on the 7Plus but it does not on the Air 2. Entirely DIFFERENT animation. The wallpaper does NOT zoom in on the Air 2.

@Jayson A Help me out. lol

Yes, you're right. The animation isn't glitchy, they literally re-worked the animation to be exactly how it's being shown.

Apple did this because they want the animation to start immediately on the first click, rather than waiting for a second click before returning home.

It's like this (for anyone that's interested)

iPhone 6s:
1. User clicks home button once
2. iPhone says to itself "Don't do anything yet! We don't know if the user is going to double click, so we don't know what action to take just yet!
3. After a second or so, the iPhone goes "False alarm! User just wanted to go home! Start the home animation!!"
4. The screen smoothly transforms into the size of its home screen icon.

iPhone 7 does things differently:
1. User clicks home button once
2. iPhone says to itself "Start the animation! We'll deal with a second click as it comes!"
3. The wallpaper however, cannot move yet because the iPhone doesn't know when you'll do the second click.
4. If a second click is detected during the initial animation, the iPhone says "Wait! The user clicked again! Interrupt the current animation and show them the multitasking screen!"

Because of the fact that the iPhone has to be prepared to show the multitasking screen, the way the app animates to the home screen is different. It starts off by shrinking the screen slowly, but keeping the same proportions of the app screen (16:9). Once it gets past the size of the multitasking window size, it starts to distort slightly and blend into it's icon on the home screen. However, since the zoom animation started off slow, it has to make up time by speeding up toward the end of the animation, but someone forgot to tell the wallpaper that, so it lags behind the rest of the animation.

That's why the iPhone 7's animation looks off-putting.

If they could just get the wallpaper to move at the same speed as the zoom animation, it wouldn't look so weird or delayed.

I hope this helped some people out

Thank you. Much appreciated for the assist. And thanks for the workup. I didn't realize it was that in-depth.

I am simply sick of all these updates. It's completely absurd and would be unnecessary if apple knew how write good and dependable code. But it's bug after bug after bug. The only beneficiary of this is this board as it gives all of you loads to moan and groan about. But for us regular users, it's a nightmare. Spending day after day updating all my devices and then discovering that a new bug was introduced that will require another update. If Steve were still alive, this wouldn't be happening. I'm going to buy a pc and the new pixel phone right now. I'm done with apple forever.

You complain about constant updates and yet you want to go out and buy a Windows PC? I'm literally laughing out loud right now.
Honestly, though, there's nothing wrong with updates. Not only do they fix problems and vulnerabilities, but they add new features (and heaven forbid they do that!). Personally, I welcome them, as do most people I know.

Yep keep working on the non-productive "features" for the kids... they can't even get it together to get new wallpapers in the major release anymore!

I wonder when Apple will give us the option of getting rid of that stupid widget page on the lock screen. Every time I get a text and swipe to open it, it goes to the widget page. It's goddamn annoying.

You can disable that in Touch ID & Passcode settings.

Can I please have my 5 star ratings, ability to share song links with what's app and quick add and heart toggles on the lock screen widget again?

Don't mind the music app redesign but why take away those features?

At least, 5 star ratings are back.

LOL so Apple is doomed because they have a clown emoji? Seriously?? HAHA. I never can believe some of the PC sh** I read these days. A clown is now signifying terrorism not a circus. Alreighty then o_O

Another small feature/fix I noticed: Notification Center now remembers whether you left off in the widgets or notification view, like it used to prior to iOS 10. On iOS 10.0/10.1, invoking NC would always take you to the notifications page.

Thank god! I'm updating immediately when the public beta is available.

Sorry if it's already been posted but on the iPhone 7 does the App Switcher still jump when you enable it?

What do you expect? If you're downloading beta software, it's very purpose is to find and report bugs in the software. And Android phones tend to not get the updates that they need until WAY later, whereas Apple immediately addresses them with fixes. I happen to love the constant updating, it lets me know that Apple cares about the security of my devices.
