You guys will defend no matter what... Apple messed up, this feature was announced almost a year ago. If it still needs this much work, they should have never announced it in the original iOS 11 keynote.

Agree, they shouldn't announce features that aren't ready to ship that day. I really miss the old days when Steve would say "available today" or "pre-order today, available on Friday."

However, this massive delay makes me think there was some intervening event we aren't privy to. For example, Apple has been really harping about the whole security thing. What if in September an engineer found an exploit that could compromise all iMessages in the cloud messages? What if the exploit wasn't something that could be easily patched, and required a proper "back to the drawing board" approach?

Stereo-Pair for HomePod seems to require a 11.4 update to the HomePod as well so no luck in activating the feature.

You can apply the profile to the HomePod which should allow you download the beta software.

Visit the developer site from your iPhone, download the new profile to that device, select other device to install, choose HomePod.

Can someone confirm if iMessage on cloud is available for iPhone SE, I have it for my iPhone X however not available for iPhone SE.

I'm writing off iOS 11 as a total loss.

It's ridiculous to have to sit through 6+ months of a messed up OS just to have a functional device, for which I regret paying $1,149.

Beautiful hardware doesn't mean jack when the OS is junk.
I am sorry, but I think it's just you. Ever since iOS 11.3 dropped, there is generally no problem with the OS anymore.

I had an interesting issue. After removing the Beta profile and upgrading to 11.3 final, the Beta profile said it was still installed. I just reinstalled over it and it worked just fine, but that seemed really odd to me. Didn't know if anyone else was seeing this issue.

Agree. I think they should decouple the yearly hardware and software updates. There is no good reason they have to be released at the same time. Bring the phone back to June and leave the OS in September.

Ah, here we go again with Messages in iCloud. Will 11.4 be the release where we actually see the feature that was promised so long ago?

This wont work. The HomePod requires its own profile.

I would wait to see if Apple release a profile for the HomePod, otherwise there is no beta to download from apple.

Any more info on airplay2? Will AV Receiver with airplay 1 be compatible? Is a software update needed or even possible? Or the buy-everything-new game again?

Mine shows 11.3 public beta 6

Because you never updated to release version AND 11.4 is only developer beta currently (not public)
Oh I updated to the public version and just reinstalled the beta profile
I guess the reason is because it’s developer and not public beta
Thanks

Just updated but mine still says I’m on 11.3. That aside; holy heck is this thing quick! It actually feels like it’s sped up to 2x or something.
