Wish they'd restore the one-click-to-delete functionality to Messages (as in Catalina), or the ability to delete several conversations at once (as on my iPhone). As it is, it's a major pain to delete the dozens of spam texts I get every day. AARGH... (Okay, first-world problem, but still...)
Or run the software that does what you want in the way you want it done. Odd concept, to be sure.

… cuz I had the naive belief that Apple would fix these obvious and rudimentary bugs. And because I don't have the now unsigned installer, and because it is a major hassle.
"Now unsigned" Catalina installer? Man, the things people invent. And so easy to disprove, too.

This is not how Activity Monitor window is supposed to look like, right? This is 11.3 beta.

There are threads about the issue on Reddit and other sites, many others are having this issue. I have a 2018 Mini with SSD and 16 Bg RAM. This should not be an issue and wasn't prior to Big Sur
You can't disable favicons any longer in Safari on Big Sur? Didn't know that.

Favicons can be disabled. Bookmark icons on the other hand, I have no clue about.
I wonder if there's a way to stop a browser from retrieving that crap. I have no interest in whatever icon some idiot "designer" thinks his site should force onto my browser.

Edit: amazing that several people think the opinion of the "designer" actually matters.

I mean, it doesn't seem to me that the hover effect would arise accidentally.

2. This is how the two are related: if you do not release new devices annually, the software team gets to focus on fixing software on the current lineup, not also have to take on optimising software for the new hardware.

Sure.

I rarely post negatively about Apple here, be it software or hardware, because in general I still am far more than satisfied. It is only when I compare Apple's quality of today to the quality of yore that I feel the untoward difference, and some times post about it here.

Fair enough, I guess. Seems to me that if these are your biggest issues, that's still fairly good.

I have annoying bug on my M1 MacBook Pro running Big Sur, whenever I try to adjust keyboard/sreen brightness using Touch Bar my computer freezes, and by freezing I mean it truly freezes and nothing is working. I have to force power off by holding the power button. I reported this bug to Apple but Im not sure if Im the only one.

Have you guys encountered this bug?

M1 MacBook Pro failed to connect to router after upgrading to 11.2
only works with my iPhone’s hotspot...

Have you tried doing a clean install of 11.2? I know that my 11.1 installations were sluggish and not at all impressive. Then I wiped the ssd and did an internet-based reinstall. Since then things have picked up significantly.
I finally have my Mini the way I like it so I really don't want to have to do that if possible. It's mainly the bookmark menu issue I have, still hoping they find a fix.

Not that I know of but that would fix the bookmark menu issue. I can't figure out why all of a sudden it's doing this.

May be a minor detail to some, but several of us have found that Keychain has stopped syncing across devices since Big Sur. Apple engineers "have been informed" according to Apple support, but no joy yet.
PITA, 1Password use is climbing.

And there I was thinking about going keychain only, a few days ago. But this and the outage yesterday has taught me better.

I hope that the 11.3 update will resolve the HDMI issue of Mac mini M1 - if the Apple Cinema HD 23-inch Display is connected to Mac mini using Apple HDMI to DVI Adapter, the picture is ghosting and flickering, totally unusable. (The 11.2 update even worsened the situation - on 11.1 the picture was ghosting and on 11.2 besides ghosting also extreme flickering.)
Unbelievable, I do not understand - I have not been using the Mac mini M1 for two days, I turned it on and the picture is correct, no ghosting, no flickering. (Big Sur 11.2, HDMI of Mac mini M1 - Apple HDMI to DVI Adapter - Apple Cinema HD 23-inch Display/first generation). It seems that Big Sur is unpredictable, it did not work correctly since the beginning, now it works, I did not change anything.

Was really hoping 11.2 would resolve the external display issues I've been having since 11.0 (was fine during betas). My USB-C to DP 4K monitor seems to get forgotten about after my iMac resumes from sleep, I need to disconnect and reconnect the cable for it to be detected. Such a pain!
My ACD 30" went black after 5 seconds with 11.2, had to revert to 11.1

I get that warning all the time also, never happened before

My M1 Macbook Air arrived today, so disappointing to find the display issues, and despite 4 hours on the phone with support, they can't even confirm they're aware and working on it.

There's threads on here and on reddit documenting the exact issues, I don't understand why everyone's time is being wasted shipping these things in their current state.

Some kind of sick joke that the most obvious place to show an example of the issue is the macOS Big Sur homepage

Oh and I can't sleep the machine while it's connected to an external display, it goes off for 2 seconds and then reappears yellow, having still not entered sleep.

I've got no idea what to do from here.
