Thanks dude!Yeah. I downloaded it. 10.16 is Big Sur, not Catalina.
Anyway eventhough the Big Sur download says 10.16 it comes out as 11.0 when it installs.

How did you install it? I'm trying on a new partition, but it keeps telling me "The request timed out." when installing
I made a new APFS volume using Disk Utility in Catalina. Then I opened the Big Sur Beta installer downloaded from Apple OTA and selected the new volume.
I got it installed. I think the icons will grow on me, but the big round corners and wide menu spacing are making me feel like I just switched from Lego to Duplo blocks. The new progress circle (NSProgressIndicator) is clunky-looking with with donut style. I think I might just keep 10.14 a few more years and retire from the software development business.
I liked System 6.0.3, 8.6, 10.6.8 and 10.14.6
Someone let me know if this breaks Outlook. I have a couple spares I can put this on, but use of Outlook would still be nice.
Looks like a nice upgrade. I’ll be skipping Catalina entirely and moving straight from Mojave to Big Sur.
Heh, that’s likely the version I’ll wait for too. If things look great with the initial release maybe I’ll succumb to temptation with 11.0.1.Good for you, I wish I never had installed Catalina. I can't wait for 11.0.2 now.
Big Sur is the first macOS release in several years that I’m actually looking forward to. It will try my patience too much to wait beyond the first one or two point releases.
