I got it installed. I think the icons will grow on me, but the big round corners and wide menu spacing are making me feel like I just switched from Lego to Duplo blocks. The new progress circle (NSProgressIndicator) is clunky-looking with with donut style. I think I might just keep 10.14 a few more years and retire from the software development business.

I liked System 6.0.3, 8.6, 10.6.8 and 10.14.6

I'm with you. The spacing is horrible when you have a lot of menu bar icons like me. Wonder if it's to prepare for a touch Mac down the line or just for consistency between platforms. Everything else seems fine.

Aside from missing tool bar icons and random misaligned button text, so far so good.

I joined the developer program a few years back just to test Mojave I think it was. I upgraded to 10.15.6. beta now. But Big Sur does not show in software update. Or on the developer website. How can I get it?

Good for you, I wish I never had installed Catalina. I can't wait for 11.0.2 now.
Heh, that’s likely the version I’ll wait for too. If things look great with the initial release maybe I’ll succumb to temptation with 11.0.1.

Big Sur is the first macOS release in several years that I’m actually looking forward to. It will try my patience too much to wait beyond the first one or two point releases.

Haha yes, ideally I would have installed the 11.0.3 but I know I it will be an almost miracle if I skip the 11.0.1 so..

Yet I may actually have found a solution: Created a partition to install the public beta inside, this could hold me off until 11.0.3
