I see Office Insider program. No option for 'fast ring.'

Office Insider Slow

Office Insider Fast. (Is this the option I need?)

Just installed on my 2016 15" MBP. No issues and converted to APFS just fine. Running warm post install like it typically does after OS install. No issues yet though I don't do anything particularly different or interesting on it. Worth noting I went from the most recent 10.12 beta to High Sierra

Just curious, for those who installed Public Beta, what is the build number? The build number of the updated Developer Beta 2 (released today) is 17A291m.

I downloaded it. Took six minutes?! That's gotta be a record for hotel wifi!

Also extracted the .dmg from the package before I kicked off the install.....just in case.

Im thinking of giving it a spin however I use Microsoft Office 2016 (not the 365 version) but the full version with separate apps that don't rely on a subscription / 365 account - Microsoft Office Standard 2016 with Outlook / Excel / Powerpoint / Word / OneNote - so can I update to the new beta and if so should I skip the new file system as Outlook is my primary email application.

UPDATE: Also discovered a bug as the updated to HS will only appear while / after the enrolment application is running and if you open the app store as normal the update will not show at all - bit of an issue. Even after a restart the new HS does not show under Updates.

Broke Time Machine backups for me. Says no disks available but all my other Macs are backing up fine. Removing and readding the disk to Time Machine didn't help.

They are broken in this beta.

Installed a few hours ago and my MBP is backing up to my Airport Extreme now. So, working for me, fortunately...

Why are early betas always making the processor run hot?

I've never coded as part of a corporate team so I really don't know how things work in that environment.

Is it because features ordered in by management are slammed in as fast as possible in a high level language then later clean up crew goes back and tightens stuff up in lower level language?

Well, that'll teach me. Got this message and then get a cycle of kernel panics and automatic reboots.

Doing a repair now, hopefully that works. If not, I'll be doing a restore.

Modern life lol. We've all been there. We feel your pain.

Just installed it on my 2015 MBA i7, it runs ok, though everything feels a little slower including Safari.

It probably needs some time for indexing and prefetching etc.

I'm using the dark UI and I see no specific changes to it yet.

Is it just me or did converting to APFS gain me some disk space?

Didn't have any problem upgrading here. Office 2016 (fastring) is running fine too as far as I can see.
Also converted to the new filesystem during installation.

Only looks like CPU temps are very high compared to Sierra, but just finished the installation so I will look at it later as well. Probably is doing things in the background.
How long does it take to convert? My macbook air is on 12 minutes since 45 mins..?
Greetings
