Continual Kernel panics on two different 14inch MacBook Pros with M1 Max chips.
M1 CPU or Intel? No Panics here with Vivaldi (Chromium).
Some of us have signature display turned off. Me, for oneM1 Max like it says in my signature![]()
Seems smoother on my 2021 MBP too. Hopefully it will stay this way.I'm seeing some massive differences in smoothness and performance with this version... for the better that is! It's feels like it's finally back to what I was seeing in Big Sur and that's no small feat! All the little lags I was seeing in Monterey, especially in Safari are starting to get quashed finally and I love to see it.
There’s no doubt vista was pretty crap but a sizeable portion of it has to do with that OS being a similar footprint as a 2022 OS but they were putting it on early 2000s hardware that had 512 mb and 1gb ram with barely a dual core processor. For context, the previous OS ran fine on a P1 233MHz and 128M of RAM. GPUs could barely power the aero interface too.Think long and hard about that… I remember the Longhorn betas and then Vista being the absolute worst piece of garbage ever, bar none.
That'll likely be a firmware updateStudio Display camera issues ? guessing nada
Using Little Snitch? Disabling worked for me.Continual Kernel panics on two different 14inch MacBook Pros with M1 Max chips.
Hmm I don't think so? It's on restart, hangs then crashes.AirPlayXPCHelper, is your Mac trying to airplay to another device. Check what you have setup for sharing.
OMG. Did I somehow miss that capability... how do you hide signatures here? Some of us have signature display turned off. Me, for one![]()
Are you able to use PMS without any KP's launching it after booting up?on a subsequent reboot into Safe Mode a popup window came up which showed me that Plex Media Server was the culprit. After disabling that from starting on boot my system is behaving normally now. I appreciate the assist.
Good grief... I scrolled down that column at least three times and completely missed the checkbox. Thanks for the screenshot, it was particularly helpful!
Running in Safe Mode, i.e., without Little Snitch enabled, seems to be okay.Using Little Snitch? Disabling worked for me.
Are you on the release channel or the beta track / nightly builds?Running in Safe Mode, i.e., without Little Snitch enabled, seems to be okay.
Nightly builds. The one I removed was Little Snitch 5.4 nightly (6248) released 31 March. I have a Support Ticket in to Objective Development. Are you on the release channel or the beta track / nightly builds?
Good to know, thanks! I've been wanting to move to iPadOS 15.5, but have been unsure about macOS 12.4.Nightly builds. The one I removed was Little Snitch 5.4 nightly (6248) released 31 March. I have a Support Ticket in to Objective Development.
Can you list them? It has been smooth sailing for me, and I use it on a daily basis, for professional work.I can honestly say that Monterey has given me more issues than even Vista did.
FYI! OD said "install the latest release build of Little Snitch, version 5.3.2. With this version we could not reproduce the crashes." The current nightly build is a different story.Nightly builds.
