Just don't understand how working code in Mavericks never made it into Yosemite. Like Wifi worked in Mavericks, why isn't it working in Yosemite? Did they purposely break the code?

All these working sub systems, battery, graphics, etc...now having problems don't make any sense to me.

Someone like to explain?

I am ready for it now, the following are my issues with Yosemite.

1. My computer does not startup after shutdown. I have to start it in safe mood and shut it down and than start it again.
2. I can no longer use back to my mac from my work or home computer.
3. I can't update my adobe creative suite of applications
4. I keep losing my wifi connection.

There are more but these are just a few of the major ones.

The only issue I've had so far has been with lagging on my Magic Mouse. And it's a very intermittent problem. Not a deal breaker, just annoying.

I have been having issues since Yosemite where my Magic Mouse connection cuts out. I know my BT is still working because I can use handoff and all other BT features work while the mouse doesn't. Then out of the blue the mouse will connect again .

It's not that simple. Yosemite has a lot of changes under the hood including iOS style wifi airdrop, iPhone hotspot configure, continuity, etc. who knows the exact path a wifi bug can take. It's a bug.

Yep, and speaking from experience here, adjusting the code for one routine can have unintended consequences on another.

I hope this doesn't something to fix handoff. Everyone i've spoke to gets it worked for a bit and then it breaks after a restart of a device. My phone always seems whats open on my Mac, my retina Macbook never seens whats open on my phone or iPad. I've reset settings and PRAM so many times that i've just given up and accented its software related.

I never had a problem with WiFi, Mail, or NC on my 2010 13" MBP. Just lucky i guess.

I do experience random occurrences of zoom in Safari (had that in Mavericks too) and multi touch gestures between desktops stop working. Hopefully .1 fixes those.

It's the same source files for both OS X and iOS. Maybe Apple is making changes under the hood to prepare for OS X on ARM, i.e. a rumored 12" MBA convertable?

AutoCAD 2015 is broken and crashes constantly on Yosemite. The developers say it's Apple's fault so maybe this update will fix whatever is causing the issue.

There are several, serious bugs that need to be addressed. Many Apple Discussions forum members and I have major performance problems like system slowdowns, flashing menubar icons, Accessibility Zoom issues with MacBook Pros connected to an external display. After some uptime it becomes almost impossible to use my computer with my external Thunderbolt Display.

I wrote to Tim Cook and Craig Federighi describing all of it, as well as submitted feedback to Apple. Let's hope for the best.

I reported the Displays multiple displays issue since the very first Yosemite beta. It is easily reproducible since it boots to the wrong display every single time, but Apple has done nothing about it for months and months.

So I fear Mavericks might end up being my last Mac OS X. Finding my TV remote and turning my HDTV on for every reboot is NOT an option Apple. Sorry.

Plugging in an iPhone will brick Bluetooth if it's an iPhone accessory cord that Yosemite doesn't like, which ironically also includes the cord sold by Apple WITH the iPhone 5s!

So when I went to report that with Feedback Assistant, that program knocks out the WIFI and router!

These 2 ore more maddening than my other display complaints. Ugh.

Hope the public release adds he misding continuity and handoff features missing for my BTLE-equipped late 2011 MBA.

So after downloading the beta, I am noticing a large improvement in most areas where a lot of us were having issues. The WiFi bug seems to have been addressed and page loads seem to have been loading much quicker. Apps have been launching faster, zooming in and out on pages is smooth, scrolling has been addressed and is working much better, the GPU performance has been much better so far. Overall, I am impressed so far with this improvement.

Did you ever have any issues with your Mac not showing the handoff icon in the dock?

Apparently no public beta for this. Oh well.

And to add insult to injury, my install history still says I only have Beta 6.

Do I really need to install the whole thing from scratch?

I'm kind of afraid to do that without being officially told.

:( same here

"Improves the reliability of waking from sleep on Macs not compatible with Yosemite"

Well that's something I never expected to see, Apple fixing a bug on machines that have been desupported in an OS release.

I'm really happy to see it; it shows Apple realizes people are hacking Yosemite installs onto older Macs and wants to keep users happy. I just hope the community doesn't start expecting these fixes and hassling Apple about bugs on unsupported hardware, causing them to stop.
