Yosemite is so cheap looking with lots of ideas from Microsoft windows and Linux UI designs, that it loosing Apple identity and inovation priority...

Even if it were true, what exactly is your problem with that? Everybody takes ideas from everybody, that's how industry works. Ubuntu Linux had "App Store" (Software Center), system wide on-screen notifications and "toned-down" scroll bars way before OS X Lion, just to mention a few things. Eh... never mind. Back to the topic.

Yosemite 10.10.0 works fine on my Mac Mini now.
Only sleep mode and hand off were a [fixable] problem.

How about boot up *time*? Yosemite takes about four times longer to boot to the login screen than Mavericks did. A bit disappointing, even if not a huge deal since I boot from scratch less than once a month.

My guess is the boot time is directly related to the poor file read/write performance on the boot drive.

I can't figure out if I'm having a WiFi issue or Safari is being flaky. Other apps seem to be fine and able to get out to the internet, but Safari will sit for a few minutes. Hope it gets fixed soon.

I've had the wifi issue a little bit but doesn't seem like mine is as bad as some out there.

As for the Exchange accounts in Mail, once I click on a new message, it doesn't register as having been read until I restart Mail. Suspect that's why they listed that as a focus point, at least in part.

Unfortunately mail still doesn't support push notification for exchange.. so yosemite mail checking lags iOS making continuity somewhat ineffective.

I was really hoping this would be addressed when I saw "improvements to exchange mail".

On a more positive note, I do feel like there are some minor animation tweaks making things appear smoother.

My thanks to all of you that are beta testing 10.10 for the rest of us!

I waited 6 months before installing Mavericks and it looks like I'll be waiting until February or March before I install Yosemite too.

"Improves the reliability of waking from sleep on Macs not compatible with Yosemite"

Well that's something I never expected to see, Apple fixing a bug on machines that have been desupported in an OS release.

I'm really happy to see it; it shows Apple realizes people are hacking Yosemite installs onto older Macs and wants to keep users happy. I just hope the community doesn't start expecting these fixes and hassling Apple about bugs on unsupported hardware, causing them to stop.

Umm, I think that's a joke.

I hope it fixes the bugs I was experiencing. Wi-Fi was one of them, but launchd and fseventsd wouldn't stop running at over 80% CPU usage and my battery was lasting an hour with the fans running full speed constantly. Back on Mavericks until I can try 10.10.1.

I hope this fixes the bug where my finder window constantly resizes itself.

Also, has anyone else restarted the computer only to find that it doesn't actually start back up?

I'm waiting for two things:

First, to make it look less awful.

Second, for at least the .2 release.

Did they pull the update? I don't see it in the Mac Dev Center.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it, had to install the Seed Configuration Utility for 10.10.1

How exactly did you downgrade back to Mavericks?

I've been trying my best to go back since I don't have a Time Machine backup w/Mavericks on it. :(

I used a time machine backup. If you have a newer MPB you should be able to do a CMMD+R boot and you can download the original os that shipped with your computer which is hopefully mavericks. If it's not, then I'm not sure what to tell you, maybe try to find a mavericks download online then create a bootable USB with the image.

By addressed, you mean Apple paying Microsoft to license Active Sync for OSX's mail. You know the odds of that happening, right?

Can anyone confirm if Time Machine is fixed?

2012 MBA, never had time machine issues or wifi issues with 10.10. I'm betaing 10.10.1 currently.

What issues did you have?

Can people post a link to what their issues were so those of us who are beta testing can see if these issues are resolved. Thanks :D

My Yosemite experience has been great so far.
My iOS 8 experience has been anything but. :-(

Sorry, I would recommend a clean wipe and restore. If that doesn't work, clean wipe and set up as new phone. Sometimes there are old corrupt files that kill - First hand experience.

My battery life has gotten loads worse with the beta.

It's literally been out for an hour. How have you fully tested your battery life??

You can also get it from the app store, don't remember how, but I downloaded ML when I was on Maverick and wanted to downgrade.

Well Notification Center has improved alot on my rMBP. No more stuttering when you open it and thats at least good news considering how smooth it was on my MacBook Air in comparison.

But I hope Apple also finishes Yosemite soon, still missing some icons and UI elements here and there Apple.. Get on it!

But for the Wi-Fi bug, I have no idea if they have fixed it. Too early to say.

I'm a Day 1 user of Yosemite and have had 0 issues with anything.
You are either lucky or just haven't noticed the problem areas. There are significant bugs that haven't even been mentioned in this thread yet.
My WiFi works as it should.
Actually WiFi hasn't been an issue for me either
Could I just be lucky in that respect?
Could be luck. More likely hardware is part of the problem.
13" Mid 2012 Mac Pro
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

In any event there are literally dozens of bugs or glitches in Yosemite. If you spend time on Apples developers forums you might get a few laughs at some of the bugs.
