If not than maybe better luck in Sep/Oct with 10.11.0 :(

I think that having no issues on Mavericks while having on Yosemite is enough to say that the problem is within the OS and not the routers.

Short term memory?
Mavericks until v10.9.3/4 had even worse wifi stability issues than Yosemite ever had on release. It took them like 3 updates just to fix the issue where it would not connect after waking from sleep.

Wifi problems have nothing to do with the router. Both MBPs no issues, 2009 MacPro can't keep a connection for more than 5 minutes. Swapped airport cards and same issue.

I've been on 10.10.x since DP1 on my production MBPs and haven't had any serious issues to note. And by note I mean bitch incessantly on MR because I don't understand what beta means and that sometimes glitches will happen. Also by note I mean have issues and then assume everyone else must be having them because my worldview is so limited that I can't fathom a problem being isolated to something as specific as a WiFi chipset or maybe, gasp, my own configuration of software.

Get this stupid WiFi talk out of this thread and let's talk 10.10.4, not our personal failings at technical comprehension or troubleshooting.

Are there any Photos "expert" that can enlighten us on new changes in process of being implemented?

I have never had this issue before Yosemite/Mavericks, and this is coming from someone who prefers them over any of the older cats.

That being said, I've yet to see wifi cutting out since 10.10.3. Although I'm glad it seems to finally be fixed (for me at least), it's sad to see others are still having issues with it as it's a good build aside from that.

Wifi issues and Apple fixed them? Here I was thinking everyone just ended up buying new routers

Some people here are just dumb - that's the only conclusion I can reach.

If you don't have wifi issues, don't assume others aren't having any.

I have a 13' retina Macbook Pro mid 2014 (latest before these new upgrades) and I'm having these issues ever since 10.10.2 (Macbook came with 10.10.1 and there were no problems).

I have been beta testing and providing feedback for the last 3 months, and it's not fixed yet.

So yeah, that is definitely a router problem...

Does anyone actually use 10.10 besides people who just bought a Mac and don't know any better?

The Wi-Fi thing people keep barking about (which I recognise as a problem for some, but am not having on any of my 3 Macs) aside, what's your beef with Yosemite? Initially, it was somewhat unstable compared to the rock solid Mavericks, but it's actually quite lovely. Didn't like the design much to begin with, but even that grew on me. I acknowledge there are still things that were way better in Mavs, but overall, I still think Yosey is an improvement. Especially for laptops. I love the personal hotspot set-up functionality, where I don't even need to touch my phone to get my Mac online.

Skipping Yosemite

Like I did with Lion (until Mountain Lion), I'm skipping this version until Apple can resolve the major problems (like incomprehensible user interface decisions, WiFi instability and speed...rather, "the lack thereof").

Yosemite has been a dog on on any machine with a spinning HD (in my experience). Even my 2011 MBA blows chunks when attempting to run a clean Yosemite installation.

2 seconds to launch System Prefs on Mavericks. How long does it take on your Yosemite Macs?

Faster than I can blink

I have a Mac Mini bought 18 months ago, and a rMBP 15" bought last July. Both crash/reboot to login about twice a day. Both have had clean installs done of Yosemite. The circumstances aren't repeatable...

This better be fixed with 10.10.4 - it's simply unacceptable. I was an unapologetic Apple fan boy - emphasis on 'was'...

These reboots started with 10.10.2 IIRC.

So sick of Yosemite dropping Wifi.... Wasn't a problem in 10.10.0 but ever since 10.10.1, it drops out multiple times per hour and its driving me INSANE.

It happens at uni, at home, at my friend's places everywhere.

I decided finally with 10.10.3 to do a clean install. Surprise Surprise, the Wifi has the same issue.

Its not an issue on my 2008 Macbook White.

----------

yes its the router, thats why people with specific models of macs are the only ones having issues, because they all have the same router and not the same computers

You're wrong. Unless my university, my friends and family are all using a Time Capsule like i do at home, its not the router.

How come its not an issue for my 2008 Macbook White?

let's face it, Yozzermight's an abortion and roll on June so we can get Snow Yozzermight!

I'm looking forward to a specific bug fix: MacOSX 10.10.3 has a bug that is making SDXC cards not mount properly on my MacBook Pro in the card slot. Even though they are unlocked physically they are showing up as locked and some are not even mounting on the desktop although they are visible in Disk First Aid. In Disk First Aid they show as Read Only. I have tried several different sizes and brands of cards. All the cards worked prior to the MacOSX 10.10.3 update.

< 1 second. I have not had any real problems with any OS X since I started on 10.6. Same for the others I know that switched from Windows at the same time.

You mean the people that know better. I hope you are at least on Mavericks otherwise you do not care about security or the best OSX features in years and therefore your opinion is useless.

Apple is getting Yosemite nice and refined, just in time for us to download the 10.11 betas after WWDC and have new issues to complain about!
