Make sure to install this beta on your oldest external SSD. Enough problems around in the first betas that rendered people’s systems unusable (although Apple warned against that, but a lot of people can’t read these days it seems).

Somebody please check the column view in Finder. Has Apple finally fixed “Right Size All Columns Individually” option, so that columns automatically resize depending on the width of the folder/file name when browsing through various folders?

Right now all this right click feature does is adjusting the width of only one column ones and than that width remain the same for all other columns even if nested folder has very short file names in it.

Browsing files in column view in Finder has been a disaster for years now. ForkLift mostly does the job but at some things it is not good enough to be a full Finder replacement. It is simply time for Apple to fix this completely broken feature.

I have been reporting this throughout the whole beta test period of Mojave and I think once or twice during Catalina. The only hope for this to be addressed is to make some of the big youtubers / tech sites mentioning it and hopefully the right person from Apple sees this.

This issue has been since day one when I started using Macs in 2013 and basically covers:

OS X 10.9 - Mavericks

OS X 10.10 - Yosemite

OS X 10.11 - El Capitan

macOS 10.12 - Sierra

macOS 10.13 - High Sierra

macOS 10.14 - Mojave

macOS 10.15 - Catalina

Sometimes I wonder if anyone at Apple actually does the job on their Macs, you know - like working with tons of files. 🤦‍♂️

I’ve been using it since developer beta, remarkably stable and I only had a few glitches to report. Check the compatible software lists available on various sites, some of your stuff may not be available yet. My biggest one is google drive, they can’t get their act together for some reason, even my Microsoft stuff works for me, so it’s surprising that google is not up to date yet

Sounds like your pet peeve. I use lots of files, love finder. Briefly tried a third party app - it was kindof meh, despite being highly rated

They said the public beta would come in July. I’ve been using the developer beta, it’s been buggier than usual for a beta. They’ll probably take their time with this one.
Really? All reviews I’ve seen, including my own, are the opposite. Few bugs - pretty smooth sailing. I would wait anyway if I wasn’t a diligent tester, it just makes sense to know what your issues might be, unless you use a separate startup disk or have multiple computers. Besides google is behind the curve again and drive doesn’t work

Not totally accurate. It has been smooth sailing except for the usual apps that don’t work on betas. But if you beta test, you know that. Biggest one for me is google drive, seems they left out a file, come on google!

Hold off indeed for at least a few weeks after public release because there will be a guaranteed "insect" invasion as always.
Hey children can you say BETA? It’s a good day in the neighborhood. M Rogers

This keeps coming up, gonna try again later
My friend you probably have unsupported macs. I know for sure I do and thats why getting this error

Anyone else have a relocated items folder on desktop after installing the beta?

Can we delete it?

How do we get the battery percentage back on the menu bar?

Tip for everyone suffering from slow download speed or stuck download: Try to change your DNS Settings. I switched to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 and it's blazingly fast now. Went from 3 days remaining to 25min
